I was speaking to an ecodisk engineer. He was one of the people who responds to problems. He doesn't do installations or Modernisations etc. And I managed to convince him to send over ALL the manuals and information on the LCE logic. I am very pleased I was able to get it as it is very interesting and quite difficult to get hold of!
I have all the manual for LCE. Took me ages to acquire them all. Did the engineer give you any KCE manuals?
@@benolifts no, he wasn't yet trained on KCE unfortunately. I could possibly email him on the email he sent the documents from but that may come across as a little rude?
Honestly I don't know why I've got this fascination lately for watching you hack elevators. My heart is in my mouth the entire video! The elevator will suddenly drop, or shoot up through the ceiling, or a security guard will come and yell HEY! And yet I'm unable to look away until it's over!

If it is possible, you should reprogram an Ecodisc Indicator message to say different things instead of Out Of Service, Fireman's Service, Priority Service, etc!

Eventhough I did the other videos with permission, the lift engineer friend I did it with is worried that he will be fired if his lift company finds the videos

It's very likely the software won't run on anything newer, or (more scarily) that it doesn't guarantee its operation under anything newer. Since the software is reprogramming the lift controller, and such reprogramming situations are a bit tense, you do everything you can to ensure everything will go well. XP FTW in this case.

I was trying to find lift reprogramming videos, so this is awesome to see! (I wanted to see the one you use in your outro, but I can't find it.)
I've gotten DTMF codes to mess with a lot of things now, including elevators. 8258 makes new otis gen2 installs open their doors.
@@DatamasterCorporation Wait, wait, wait-- what? That's awesome. Exactly how does this work? Were you calling the elevator's emergency phone? (Probably weren't piping DTMF tones into the lift cab...)
The only related anecdote I have is of a video that was floating around on here many, many years ago but seems to have sadly disappeared. It was of a lift opening its doors when an unknown handheld (possibly CB/AM) radio's PTT switch was pushed. I have no idea what frequency the radio was on.

You know some DTMF codes mess with lifts as well, I have my radio to transmit '8258' on BOT. It makes the lift open its doors. I also noticed it messes with my keyboard, 8258 make it press the arrow keys in random directions.

Kone LCE provides two types of the accessible floor announcement. ACU F and ACU I, as you are doing on the ACU F.

I didn't expect to see this so easily online. Some of these Kone manuals are very hard to find. The voice numbers in your link are from the basic voice unit of the original voice. The voice unit in my video is the new voice.
Unfortunately, as the regulation of disabilities by countries, they may not use with ACU F. Kone LCE provides ACU I (interface only) to connect the native floor announcement unit when the ACU F not fulfilled the regulation (such as HK's BFA 2008).
