new homes cost $480K and up here , and it depends on where you live .
I have new homes being built everyday in our subdivision and the homes looks cheaper and they are just average homes.
To spend that amount on a home , there shouldn't be cheap bathtubs for $250.00 instead they should be very nice tub
with tile around it and toilets are cheap too .
Just like my home, some things were contractor grade, well I changed that and had better grade of tubs .
We just started , a day ago, we are remodeling our entire home inside and outside, it's a process and it will take monthsssss.
We will remodel this home ourselves , taking one room at a time , starting on the lower level of home first .
The pricing will be Midrange ( not the cheapest ) . I will pick everything for the home, If I need advice on anything,
I have professional family & friends who will direction me in the right place .
Example I have a nephew who own, his own A/C and Heating.
I have a friend who's an Professional Electrician . I have a brother who does concrete for the outside . These are examples only.
I am able to do ceramic tile, I done enough of that in my life .
We will put Vinyl Flooring / Waterproof throughout the home main floor and lower level .
I can careless about Carpet . I am good at researching too , youtube is good to check out too .
We remodeled our first home , it was major project , this will be major but we aren't going to tear out drywall or add family room
and garage to the home .
We even have a farm with house sitting on 200 acres in another State. know that home is very old , but we remodeled that
years ago , it's in good condition. We keep tracked on our homes and keep up with the condition of the home too .
You mention fresh vegetables , I have a garden yearly and I can relate to Gluten , Dairy and Wheat , these 3 can causes a lot of
health issues to a person . I took free nutrition classes at our local hospital years ago .
When it comes to health, I have done 100's of hours researching about Process Foods, Junk Food and Sodas , which none of it ,
good for anyone body . example: Soda can cause a person to end up with joint , bone and muscle issues.
*Cancer thrives on Sugar* *Sugar is in over 90% of Process Foods* . Any sauces , ketchup causes inflammation in the body, and
other foods . I stopped eating Process Foods , etcc 17 years ago , it wasn't easy , but I did it .

how much snow do they recieve per year "on average" ?
In your opinion, what area would be better to be close to the hospitals , doctors ,
      grocery stores, etccc .
      That's why I moved in my area 16 years ago , because I'm 4/10's mile from hospital ( 2 blocks over ) ,
doctors are in the same building as hospital .
This region is packed daily because more and more people moving here , it's where everyone wants to move.
There's many reasons why people want to live here , Excellent School District, we have over 400 activities and not counting
hobbies to do , daily , it would keep you busy all day long , seriously.
We have trails that goes for hundreds of miles, we can hook up with other trails and end up going to Smoky Mountains , which is 500 miles / 9 hours ( adding traffic on the highways ) .
They continue building trails in other directions too !!! In this region you can hop on the highway and visit
different States , 5 - 10 hours, depends on where you want to visit or it can take a day drive .
Just like Asheville , hop on highway 40 to Columbia Sc , or on 81 to somewhere in Virginia , just for example .
      1 - 1 1/2 hours to the Smoky Mountains from Asheville .
