    Well I ordered the biomax 300 and wanted to thank you for all you do. I was one of those people who got pulled in to buy a $9000 perfectio X red light therapy hand unit by Zero Gravity. There is no real firm data on its effectiveness. However, I have to say that I was scheduled to have hand surgery on a trigger finger and decided to use my unit on my hand and surprise. I don't have a trigger finger any longer.

    My tip for discerning which company is trustworthy and has good customer service: check if they disclose real address on their website. If they hide it from clients, it's for a good reason! How can you chase them if they don't return your emails or calls?
    If you are in UK, on top of delivery fee, you will be charged extra 20% duty tax on your delivery as you are privately importing goods from abroad.

    Thank you for your informative reviews! My husband needs a home red light therapy device to combat trismus, damaged accessory and hypoglossal nerves (which, among other things, causes intense tongue pain and fasciculations of tongue and neck), fibrosis, and an internal ulcer (which hasn't healed in the 4 years since treatment ended) in the area of his left tonsil. All of this damage stems from radiation treatment for tonsil cancer. We are debating among the Red Reactive R1, BioMax 300 or 450, and MitoAdapt Min or Mid. Which would you recommend? Does the 940nm wavelength offered by the Red Reactive offer any additional benefits?

      2. Make a post in our FB group - facebook.com/groups/lighttherapyinsiders as there may be others who have experience with this.
      3. Check out our guides on the LTI site - www.lighttherapyinsiders.com/tag/science/

      As I know (might be wrong tho) LED is not heating, so you can bring them super close to seven to penetrate better. Bulb lamps can heat, so they are more used in red saunas. But again, I might be wrong on that

    Great informative videos! I'm in Australia and bang for buck i'm thinking of going with the Infraredi Pro Max with 4 panels. I have a private remedial therapy clinic which i was also thinking of letting my clients have use of the lights (for a fee). What is this company like for customer service? Also, how do you/I test for the NIR if it's working or not, if we can't see it? Do you know of any online courses that i can do so i can at least have a certificate in recommending general use of these panels to my clients?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom

      hey! Sorry for not responding sooner.
      Infraredi are run by a good team. They are based in QLD, Australia as well so that will help.
      Test for NIR - typically you can see a slight red glow in the chips. Or you can turn the red off and just run NIR and if you feel a little bit of warmth after a 10min session you will know it's working.
      Online courses - I do! And there are some coming up in Aussie and NZ later this year. I'll be going to one of them myself. You can see them here - www.thorlaser.com/courses/index-AU.php

    We have just about overdosed on RLT videos trying to determine which one to buy. Your buyer's guide is great but again, so many choices. I think we have narrowed it down to MitoPro 1500. We are 58 years old so we are looking for some improvement in eye sight in addition to some inflammation reduction for joints as well as overall improvement in skin and energy. Is this a great choice for those uses, especially for eye sight?

    Hello
    A lot of information for a newcomer now I have used red light therapy. I used it for neuropathy. I use it for my back. I use it for shoulder pain and I do have red light facial massages. The one thing that no one ever talks about is when you use it on your face, it makes the hair grow quicker if you got a woman who’s tendency to have That mix of culture you can get a mustache and you can get hairs on your chin and I think that’s funny. No one‘s ever talked about that and I also have red light to make my hair grow on my head so those are the things that’s the knowledge I have and I’ve used it for skin care and paint but I want to get a larger model and of course, like everybody else budget wise Energy wise that’s what I wanna know how it uses energy and maybe something that I can use for multiple uses my handheld red light survive for years but the rectangle panel that I had I had to throw out because as much as I tried to get it to work it just went out on me, so I’m looking for something that will last over a year my hand held devices. I’ve had some of them for five years or more And that surprises me but I generally take care of my things but I think it’s the manufacturer as well quality items that they make so with that being said I need suggestions I’m on the east coast of the US I’m a 73-year-old senior who looks like she’s in her late 40s early 50s I’m not kidding about that. The red light does help infuse energy and has given me a lot of help, but now that this one’s blown out I want to get a nice decent moderately price and I’m not talking about in the high hundreds. I’m talking about something I can afford if there’s a code if there’s a sale if they resell items that are sent back I’m a candidate for that as long as the warranty works, thank you for your informative information. There’s a lot of information and I’ve saved a lot of it from TH-cam and the interviews that I’ve seen I’ve known about red light for decades because it was used for therapy. And I got my own handheld therapy lights and it was three different modes, light, medium or high.
    So with that being said, if there’s anyway you can give me some information because I have an infrared therapy envelope it’s not a blanket it’s something you climb into and they only give about 20 or 30% of infrared so it’s it’s basically very light level so I’m looking for something that I can use on my feet that I can use on my shoulder and to tell you the truth I don’t have back problems because I’ve done fascia work and now with my wonderful panel that blew that blew out on me. I need to get a new one but I want something with more legitimacy of knowledge behind it. Mine cost it was on sale for $99 and it was 159 and it was a wraparound rectangle, but not very long and it had blue had two speeds not just one or what they call speed
    Thank you very much for being very informative being knowledgeable and I will thank you ahead of time for your answer to me. My emails should be on my account and you can look that up. I’m scared to give it online because I’ve had hackers come after me so tell me what to do and how to do it or how to contact you if I have to repeat this. Have a lovely lovely morning day afternoon evening or whenever you get to read this , enjoy 2024 and be blessed and let’s be thankful for everything we have

    Thank you so much for the thorough and friendly explanation. I would like to get a panel that i would use while I sit in my meditation and that would cover maximum area of my body as I do so. So probably it would be two or more panels connected. I’d like something that is as minimal in its design as possible. I don’t like the large metal frames if possible. So I’d like something that looks esthetically pleasing to look when not in use and also low on sound and no emf harm. Which of the products would you recommend? Thank you for this option to ask.

    Hey Alex! Great video! Curious to know if your buying recommendation would change as it relates to a commercial setting? I have 8 Platinum BioMax900's (4 on each side of the body) in my boutique fitness studio (which replaced the constantly malfunctioning Joovv panels purchased several years back) and a member recently asked me if the TheraLight 360 was substantially better than our Platinums and I didn't know what to say. The criteria in this video is awesome when thinking about a home light purchase, but curious to know your view on my 8 Platinum BioMax 900's which cost me ~$10,000 USD versus a commercial bed like TheraLight 360 or Novathor which run many multiples higher in cost. Any feedback would be appreciated!

    • @jasondebruler
      @jasondebruler 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @alex, just following up. Would love to hear what you think. I also dove a little deeper and it seems the BioMax panels are actually superior in one of the most important factors--Irridiance. TheraLight touts 120 nW/cm2 while a BioMax600 is capable of 185 at 6 inches and 160 at 12 inches. I'm struggling to understand what makes the highest cost beds 10x the price when it doesn't seem like they are even as good as the Platinums.

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! In all honesty I have never used a bed - so i can't really comment on them, nor have I used a Theralight.
      However - I dont' see any reason why a BioMax panel wouldn't be suitable for a commercial setup. The beds just offer an all in one package and can be used when laying down. Which may be an advantage for some people.
      If you spent $10k on a Biomax setup, I wouldn't go out and change everything.
      Also - Mito Red Light have just launched a commercial arm to their business, you can see that here - prorlt.com/

    Alex, I have decided to go red light therapy, but am so surprised at how confused I am. Currently, I am considering two products, but wondering if that is overkill. I want to purchase the Mito-Pro 300 for it's portability as I have an elbow injury from a fall I had about 6 months ago, but he healing process is odd and it is not back to normal yet. But at the same time I think I should purchase the Bio Max 900 as I need help with the overall look of my skin and a few muscle aches. My skin is 70 years old although my activity and appearance is younger, the skin doesn't lie. Then I think is the Bio Max 600 enough? Also I am thinking is Alex going to review a better unit and post something else that I should buy after he completes the new trials? Also the shipping for the Bio Max to Japan is over $200 US and they won't ship to the cheaper APO AP addresses (considered US Addresses).... Please give me advice...the unit would be used by me, and, of course, my face has signs of aging as well, so please advise me as I am going around in circles. Thanks.

    Hi Alex Fergus, I would appreciate your expert advice on purchasing a high quality full body RLT or Multi panel for my Mum with Altzeimer's and mobility issues (joint/muscle pains). Looking for a RLT panel with the highest 810nm along with the highest medical/FDA class 2 wavelengths that promote bone/muscle/skin rejuvenation/healing. Watched alot of your reviews and still stumped on which to purchase. Panel size required atleast 180cm in height and 45cm wide. Located in Australia, budget of AUD$6k including a horizontal stand. Can increase budget for the right RLT panel.

      Hey. For Alzheimers - check out Vielight - www.alexfergus.com/blog/does-vielight-work-vielight-science
      Also - check out my interview with Dr Randy Beck (due out this week).
      For joint pain - ok yes something with 810nm would be good.
      You could check out Infraredi, or Block Blue Light (my review is out in a few days). They are both based in Australia and discount code ALEX will work with them.
      Actually - consider the Rojo 3000 - they are also in Aussie. Two of them would be perfect. It might be slightly over your $6k budget - but I think discount code ALEX will save 5% or maybe more and bring it down into your price range. Hey Coachshere, thanks a lot for your comment! Can you tell me where you see that link? I don't seen an oncology link in the video description, nor in Alex's pinned comment. Generally, though, because of conflicting evidence (although recent evidence has been more positive), we don't recommend using red light therapy in the case of cancer, especially if you're not certain whether the cancer has metastasized or might do so. And, we recommend covering any cancerous area up, and only treating after the physician has OKed red light therapy. I'm very sorry about the situation, and the breast tumor!

      Hi, Justine!
      I’m looking into RLT for the same purposes, and honestly, if it’s in your budget and you plan to continue RLT long term (I definitely would!), I feel it would be worth it to invest in a full-body unit.
      My rationale is that the beautifying/rejeuvenating effects of RLT can be quite dramatic, so I want to avoid having specific areas that look more youthful and radiant that are in stark contrast to the more aged-looking areas that haven’t received regular treatment.
      Not to mention, the additional benefits of RLT are amazing, so why not get those results from head to toe?
      Good luck on your search, and here’s to great results and overall better health!

I was looking at their ProPanel, it is crazy expensive, but a practitioner I trust advised that they are the best...in part because of the close proximity can get to the panel. Thoughts? Are there other comparable articulated panels on stands that would work for face, or other areas of the body treated when lying down (scars across thorax, knee, ankle etc.?

    Hi Alex - appreciate your great info. Are you familiar with the Streamlet Red Light Therapy Device for Face, Body, Dual Chip Clinical 60 LED Combo 660nm 850nm (300W)? Also, in the ads on Amazon for this it shows people using it without goggles. Do I need to wear goggles when using this? I have eye strain and read maybe red light would be beneficial, but obviously do not want to damage my eyes if it is not safe. What are your thoughts? I did buy this last month. Thank you!

      No I'm not sorry. I try and use goggles when facing the panel. We will have some content on eye health & RLT due out soon.

    • @AlexFergusdotcom

      80 is fine. I mean you could even get a small handheld bulb with 12 LEDs and still get a good result (Check out the Hooga Health options for this).

    Hi Alex. I am interested in purchasing the Infraredi Mini but I 15:19 am conflicted between the Flex and the Pro. The Pro does not have the 810 wavelength but has a remote. Am mainly interested in skin improvement and arthritis. Would appreciate your advice 15:11 . Thanks..Diane

    Hey Alex what would be the best red light machine for arthritis I have a Lotta arthritis in my body

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, I'm sorry to hear about this. Firstly - jump into this group - facebook.com/groups/lighttherapyinsiders/ - as there are a few people who suffer from Arthritis in there. Otherwise you really just need something with both red and NIR light (660 and 850nm) at a good power level - this covers most panels today. Then you need something that is easy to use and easy to hit the problematic spots. You may actually find a smaller handheld device that you can move around is better suited to a large panel for instance. I will have a video coming out in a few days that will help you with this decision making process so stay tuned for that :)

    I currently have two of the first version of the Mito Mega (300 LEDs each) and one of the same style Mito min (60 LED unit) in my setup. Would you say that it would be worth the cost ($2600) to upgrade all of those panels to the newer MitoPro units?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is nothing wrong with those original panels. I had amazing results with my first gen RLT panels many years ago.
      If you have the money and want to upgrade, then sure, go for it. But don't feel like you have to.

    Hi Alex, i noticed on your blog that you are going to do a feature on dental health, will that be published any time soon?
    I've tried the Primal Life Organics light, which you insert into the mouth, but that just gives me a jaw ache after a minute or so...
    Also, i've been looking at the McLaren Photonic Torch, which looks like a good fit for improving dental health in a convenient & comfortable way... Do you have any experience with this device..?

      I haven't heard of those other devices, I'm going to check them out. Sorry I don't have more insight in regards to dental treatment. I can say though that I have noticed massive dental health improvements just by using my panel. Check this out - th-cam.com/video/M6HrEJALT18/w-d-xo.html

    Hey I’m about to get the biomax 600. Curious, can you turn off the blue wavelength and just use the red? Or maybe choose which wavelengths individually, mix and match , like maybe I only want to use 630 and 810 one day, and different combinations another day?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can turn off the blue LEDs. You can change the output of the Red and or the NIR wavelengths, but not individual wavelengths. Check this out - th-cam.com/video/uzNKnfrWG2Q/w-d-xo.html

    I’ve been looking at the Kala Elite, can’t justify the 3200 for the elite duo, but that would be a lot better for full body. Was going to get a good full size red light mat, but they don’t look as durable to me as a solid panel.

    Hi Alex The hooga and mitoPro models both have 630nm, 660nm, 830nm, 850nm. is this what you mean by 4 wavelengths? Thx

  • @dominikhasek3611
    @dominikhasek3611 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey Alex, great video. I have a question about the wavelength. The base wavelengths are 660nm and 850nm. If I have a panel that includes additional wavelengths such as 630nm, 660nm, 670nm, 810nm, 830nm, and 850nm, does this mean that there are fewer LEDs emitting 660nm and 850nm? My understanding is that each LED can only emit one wavelength. Panels with more wavelengths have almost the same number of LEDs at the same size. Therefore, more wavelengths actually mean less energy dedicated to 660nm and 850nm. So, I gain more benefits overall, but not as pronounced benefits as those specifically from 660nm and 850nm for the same period of use. Am I correct?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey. Yes that is correct :)
      THOUGH - there are now panels that have dual, triple or quad chip LED lenses - so one 'LED' actually does have more than one wavelength. Mito Red Light offer panels like this (check out my review of the Mito Adapt - th-cam.com/video/8CV645EOsdg/w-d-xo.html )
      BUT - just because you get more wavelengths, it doesn't mean you get more light energy. In fact - the most powerful panel on the market is a single chip BioMax panel.
      I hope this helps :)

    Everybody is talking about panels, but I want to use the red light therapy for gut health issues. I have seen red light therapy belts for sale that can wrap around the abdomen. Do you know anything about these products? Or do you know a way to use a flat panel for gut health? The only way I can think of is to use a small panel and hold it against the left side and then the right side of the abdomen.
    My secondary use would be for skin improvements on the face.

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You could do that with a table top panel but generally 6 to 12 inches away from a panel will still allow penetration. I have reviewed one belt here: th-cam.com/video/wHAvcwG7RLQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=agHZmLntsyKkCjMW

    I bought a table top Mito red light panel for my face. I love it, but I do wish I also had a red light face mask for ease of use, but I don’t think the face mask ones (e.g. Dr. Dennis Gross $500 mask) are as efficacious as the standing panels. Do you know of any red light face masks that are actually worth the money?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mean it depends on your situation - some people prefer the convenience of having a mask - so they can move around and not be stuck in front of a panel. I do like the Jovs 4D mask - but it is pricey. th-cam.com/video/883kYrq2leI/w-d-xo.html
