    The key is to be a part of a church or some group or community. I just started a digital marketing agency and I just landed two clients. They are already talking about referring me to their friends. I have not had to do any cold calling or outreach messaging.

      @@X-factor6 All I do is attend church. I’ve been going to this church for almost two years and built up relationships with everyone. A lot of people who I became friends with are dentists and orthodontists. Now that I’m friendly with everyone they pretty much approach me wanting to work with me. A lot of times these dentists get stuck with bigger agencies that don’t really have a personal touch. They just want someone who communicates well and knows their business. So instead of cold calling, I just let the referrals come in. I’ve made two big ticket clients doing absolutely nothing and just by being friendly.

    • @MrEARWOODR
      @MrEARWOODR หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah so all I did was start going to church. It doesn’t have to be church. It could be anything where you regularly hang out with friends. Maybe playing some kinda sport or maybe you volunteer somewhere. The idea is to meet new people in the community and be friends with them. Potential clients would rather work with someone they know, so once people in your group know you, they will approach you for work.

    How do you compete with no-code website building like WIX? Nowadays people can just google make free website and they can stumble across those platforms and I guess as long as it is just a "business card" type of website and not logic-heavy project you can do it yourself with them services, so why would they choose you for X$$$ if they can get it for free with their hosting?

      People are non-technical or just plain lazy and want experts to do even Wix sites for them sometimes. Giving them a solution that is good turn around and solves their problem gets the job done.

      Your client does not always know your competition exists. Only you do. If someone wants to undercut your costs and you cant justify them paying that much then either get competitive or add value to your service that blows your competition out the water and sell it for higher doing something your competition does not.

      Happens all the time. You just have to believe in yourself and have a service that people want and the rest lines up for whatever cost you choose to charge if you can show the value.
