As an addendum to this video, the Kenneth Strictfadden laboratory equipment was actually created for the early Buster Crabb serial including them theme used in Bride of Frankenstein.
Nice to see someone post some proper information about Kenneth. I am tired of people quoting that the original 1931 lab equipment was used in Young Frankenstein. Same Kenneth Strickfadden, different equipment.
Lightsaber sound effect and part has appeared in other films Trespass its heard as sound/fx lighting a fuse on petrol bomb placed in a car. Pacific Heights its heard a few times in the film partly for a flame on a cooker when adding oil and during a nightmare dream scene. Terminator 2 when biker gets thrown onto a hot cooker and gets his hands frizzled its heard first few seconds.
Well, the suspense here is maddening: what happened to it?? Ok, I'll google! From a defunct page: "Two years ago, in 1996, this equipment was sold to a museum called Studios at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas, where it is presently at the studios tour. People can tour through movie scenes and props." The links are now defunct. More Googling: the place is now called "Mercury Studios". That's all I got. CRM studios site turns up nothing on a search. Let me know what you find!
