We serve an awesome GOD! I praise Him for how He has blessed you folks. I know you work hard and smart, and it shows. May His blessings continue. The quail are adorable.
We also raise quail. To keep them off the wire 24/7 we put in bins of sand. They LOVE it. They will spend most of their time dust bathing. Plus they tend to lay their eggs in the bins which makes it easier for egg gathering.
We raised quail when I was a kid and growing up. My brother used to go to school and tell his friends he ate 10 eggs for breakfast. He never told them it was 10 quail eggs which equaled about 2 chicken eggs. I love fried quail.
@@skullykittie9889 check Kevin and Sarah's video playlist. He might have a butchering video on that, I can't quite remember. But there are a lot of quail videos.
@8:03, the hay will be a problem. I use a 2x3 plastic boot tray with sand & spilled feed in the bottom. They’re really inexpensive. All of my spilled feed and waste is eaten/processed by the millions of Black Soldier Fly larvae below the cage. They turned my quail pigs into a pleasant experience for my neighbors.
You all have many cows now and a bull and they are so healthy looking too, and especially Tex who is really healthy looking and a nice looking Hereford.
Good luck trying to keep Tex separated from the girls. If one of them comes in he will be over that fence like a high jumper. My 1600# bull thinks nothing of jumping a 5 strand barbed wire fence. The funny part is he always goes back when the job is done...LOL
The one that you said you weren’t sure what it was looks like a Pearl at first glance but it’s kind of hard to tell. We love our quail! We are NPIP and would love to share some eggs with you if you ever need to add new blood. We are even working on some new fun projects colors that we could share with y’all. 😉

It's so interesting to see all the variations because we always had Missouri's wild quail. My Dad actually gave us kids lessons on how to completely clean the carcass so no meat was wasted. Lol. Breaded, pan fried with gravy..yum!
Living Traditions is one of the first homesteading vlogs I started watching years ago. Thru hard work, dedication and GOD, you have done a tremendous job growing your self sufficiency. GOD bless 💖
How clever the tuxedo looks. I love the mix colors, love the colored eggs! I used to have mixed flock of chickens too! How fun!!
I am in the process of moving to my land now. I want a few quail as soon as I get settled. I am happy for you that you have quail again!
Kevin is very happy!!
