- This week we're back in Scotland as we take the M* west to Gasgow. We start off exploring Springburn Park with it's atmospheric ruin before we take a wander up to the Necropolis in the city's historic heart.
Then it's off for a quick look at the charity shops on the city's longest street.
A huge thank you to everyone who's supported our wee channel so far, if you'd like to help support our wee adventures you can do it through through our Ko-Fi or Patreon.
All our videos are hand made from 100% organic ingredients ;). Our content is mostly filmed on a GoPro 11 with a Rode fluffy microphone to keep the wind noise down, with occasional bits on an iPhone13. We also use a DJI Mini 3 drone which we're loving getting to grips with.
We make our own music using GarageBand and the videos are edited in iMovie.
If you'd like to buy DeNiro a biscuit (and he's a good boy, honest) you can via our Ko-Fi link at www.ko-fi.com/ScotlandOnAShoes....
If you'd like to become a patron of our wee channel we also have a patreon at / scotlandonashoestring
We also have an Etsy shop where we sell some of our hand made items. It's at dandbbythesea.etsy.com
Poor Springburn park it used to be beautiful when I was a kid
The word sagacity peaked my interest: keen, and farsighted, discerning.
We had to look it up too. Lots of pompous words on that one.
I really enjoyed seeing Gasgow and Springburn Park. I love looking at all the architectural designs of everything. Hope y'all have a bless day.
Thank you! You too!
Thanks for the non-tourist tour of Glasgow. I'd be ok getting my work gloves and clean out springburn. Quite interesting vinyl record collection. Lunch looked really good!
We’d love to see that winter garden restored. I think the one in Victoria Park has been done, we’re heading there soon.
I remember the nursery rhyme “Wee Willie Winky” read to me as a child in Nebraska USA
Ooh, thanks. We weren’t sure if it was just popular in Scotland.
Winter garden - where did the glass go? 😊
Just keep Bex supplied with yarn and she'll be fine lol - Look forward to seeing more of the Necropolis, hate to think how much something like cost then, let alone now! Nana Mouskouri is still popular over here (of course). Happy Easter, hope you had a good one - ours isn't until 5th May!
We did.. much chocolate was consumed.
Haha! We use 'puggled' as an alternative to 'a bit more than tipsy'!
Mr GST wants to know the joke... ;)
Our wee country has definitely left its mark on the world.
Plastic Surgeon. Ha, Ha, Ha.
Cathedral House is certainly nothing like a Wetherspoons, it is also one of the most haunted buildings in Glasgow. Loved to see my old stomping ground of Springburn Park, unfortunately nothing like it used to be - thanks to Glasgow City Council only doing upkeep in areas that appear to be a more upmarket area.
Yeah, the park looks like it would benefit from a few quid spent.
My hubs is learning disc golf (in Minnesota USA)
It looks like fun. Not sure how it’ll go in a park with lots of dogs though. Weeeeee-fetch
