- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 4 พ.ค. 2024
- This week we're back in the East Neuk of Fife as we explore the seaside village of Anstruther, or Ainster if you're a local.
We visit the beach, take a walk along to the village of Cellardyke and, of course, swing by the historic graveyard.
Oh, and there's a very unhealthy Scottish delicacy for lunch.
A huge thank you to everyone who's supported our wee channel so far, if you'd like to help support our wee adventures you can do it through through our Ko-Fi or Patreon.
All our videos are hand made from 100% organic ingredients ;). Our content is mostly filmed on a GoPro 11 with a Rode fluffy microphone to keep the wind noise down, with occasional bits on an iPhone13. We also use a DJI Mini 3 drone which we're loving getting to grips with.
We make our own music using GarageBand and the videos are edited in iMovie.
If you'd like to buy DeNiro a biscuit (and he's a good boy, honest) you can via our Ko-Fi link at www.ko-fi.com/ScotlandOnAShoes....
If you'd like to become a patron of our wee channel we also have a patreon at / scotlandonashoestring
We also have an Etsy shop where we sell some of our hand made items. It's at dandbbythesea.etsy.com
Word of the day is back, yay! What a nice sea side town. Thank you for taking us along, I wish you and family "Ca Canny" and have a wonderful week! Oh', wait, aye, I be the first one to congratulate on DeNiro's big nice bed! Wonderful! Edit number 3, thanks for the 'shout out' and can't wait for the esty gift to arrive.
Glad you like the word of the day!
Another great video 😊
Looks a lovely place
We love visiting The little fishing ports.
Thank you for sharing
At last
Hello from Canada. It is what we call a very soft spring morning here today.
Hello!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to visit places that are central to my family history! I am hoping to make my first trip to Scotland from the U.S. soon. Love your channel.
Thank you so much
Ah so that's where my sunny weather went! lol. Another lovely part of Scotland, stunning views across the sea.
We’ve had a few sunny days recently but then back to the rain!
@@scotlandonashoestring Shame! Weather here can't make up its mind if it's Spring, Summer or Autumn
OH YUMMY.....I now want some battered Haddock and chips. LOL
So good
Loved your title today! Anstruther is a really pretty seaside village. Another for my list.
Definitely, its a nice wee place.
I mind going to Anstruther in '81 n '82 for our holidays and the shows were always there at the time. We stayed in a chalet in a chalet and caravan park which I think was called bubblegum Park or something like that 🤔 They had everything from, arcades to discos and a chippy. I loved it cos I was 11 and 12 at the time and we all got upto abit of this and abit of that.......mainly smoking and bagging off 😂😂 thank god we're given the gift of getting older to learn what life's really about for us 🙏✌️
They also had a big bubblegum inside pool so maybe that's why I'm getting the name of the caravan/chalet Park mixed up lol
Them were the days :) To be young again eh?
The laundry hanging out to dry, must smell so nice. 😊
I would go for a sniff but I think i'd be spotted :)
I've incorporated your word of the day to my travels in Scotland.... Asking locals to teach me a word every day. Thus far I've gotten, wormer and jobbie.... I think they're both compliments! Haha. Will be in fife soon enough!
Jobbie isn’t exactly a compliment :))
Good tip on the Wee Chippy. We are planning a day out in Fife on our next trip to Scotland.
Can’t beat a chippy tea!
Best chip shop imo
We think so too!
Laundry on the line is always better! A lovely place. When we went up to Edinburgh, we loved popping over the water to this neck of the woods!
Gaining subs is sooo hard :( Keep on chugging!
One of the best sights is washing blowing in the wind!
Another awesome video! So much beauty…the color of the ocean, so many shades of blue. It was good to see DeNiro. How do you like your new bed DeNiro? Perfect bed for stretching out.
Lovely town, good looking buildings.
Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us!!!
Oh! Are those packages for us in the United States of America? 😊
I put the video out and Bex said 'I hope they werent supposed to be a surprise' :))
21:55 I'm sorry your channel isn't growing, Iain. 😞 It certainly deserves more subscribers. 😔 This was a lovely ramble, made better by the unusual presence of the sun. 😂 Sending hugs and positive vibes from Ontario, Canada. 🤗😘😍
Good job we’re not in it for the money :) It’s a really nice wee place.
Just looked at the other comments and I think I've lowered the tone oops 😮😅 I also loved the different colours of the houses/cottages on the harbour front ❤
Nah, I usually lower the tone first :))
It's a beautiful little town! By the way they were quite a few parts of the video where it was extremely hard to hear you. I don't know if that's because of the wind or what, but I missed almost half the video 😢
Ooh, ok. I redid the audio out on the harbour but thought the rest of it was ok. We’ll keep an ear out in future, thanks for the feedback.
I can decipher that. My dad was a minister. It means....Enter ye in at the strait gate" is a biblical phrase from Matthew 7:13 and Luke 13:24. It means to enter the gate of true conversion, self-denial, mortification, and universal holiness. The phrase is a metaphor for the path to salvation, which is narrow and difficult to find, and few people are inclined to enter it. The opposite path, which is wide and easy to find, leads to destruction.
Thank you !!
