It's-15.5 Celsius (4 F) here tonight in Central Newfoundland. All snuggled up in bed enjoying this video. Thanks George for sharing these videos for us to enjoy ❤
Thank you!!Really fun &interesting things! Seen&learned about things I'd never have known- peach glass =Beautiful -the history of a sugar cutter --&a lot more!!!
George, I own that Lipton tea tin @2:50. I found it at a flea market in California for $4 many many years ago. I didn't know much about antiques at that time, but I knew it must be special. Added: I want to go to this mall! Thank you George
So much learning for me today!! Pate-de-Verre? How interesting!! I’m going to show this to my 15 year old later today because he’s taking a trip this summer to Denmark, Sweden & Norway. The couple’s collection of Scandinavian items was so vast and beautiful! Thank you for sharing George!!❤
Your videos are always excellent. Before you said where you were I thought that has to be the Hixton Antique mall, I was there last in July 2024. Enjoyed seeing your take on this one. I love going there when I can. Don't get there often as It's 260 miles from my home in IL. It's a must for me when I travel to and from White Bear, MN. Another must in Hixton is Millers Antiques & Auction Company. There are a few others in and near Hixton also. Thanks for all the videos and sharing of your knowledge!
You are absolutely right George. You shared some items that I have never seen before. This is an unusual place to go if you are ever in this part of the country. Thanks for sharing with us. Stay warm. It is an unusually cold winter this year.
@TheAntiqueNomad Yes, I am in north Florida and it has been COLD, snow in some areas, and wintery mix. Enjoy the weather where you are. You did select a good time to go. !!
Good afternoon George! It's always so refreshing to find a genuine antique mall like this one you are sharing with us. The Scandinavian displays were interesting, I like their idea of dating the pieces. And that sugar cutter, didn't realize it was a common household item. There were a lot of interesting artworks throughout the mall. Also such a great selection of pottery, all the Rosemead!! Some of it looked like Van Briggle from here, similar finish. I want the Haeger fish planter and the Weller ewer for my collection. Nice deal for you on the orange Stangl pieces ~ congrats! Adding this one to my ever growing list of places to shop. Especially want to see the Pat-de-Verre pieces, sounds like fascinating glass artistry! Thank you George, stay warm and be safe in your travels! 🦋
Hey The Antique Nomad! I just wanted to say your channel is seriously inspiring! You've given me the courage to finally start my own channel, and I'm so grateful for all the knowledge you share. Your passion for antiques is contagious, and I love how you explain things - keep up the amazing work!
I wish I could spend some time shopping in this antique mall and what a great use of an old school building. I have that same white Singer sewing machine and case my grandmother gave me and had no idea they were going for that price. Great to see you again.
Thank you George! I pass this often in my travels and have wanted to see it! Thanks also to your friends. Can’t wait to see all their Scandinavian stuff!
Good evening, George. There were a couple Nescafe tins there that caught my eye. I liked the Lipton Tea tin, too. I really liked the oil lamp that was in the case with the Fenton lamp. The parlour lamp, with the orchid decoration, was pretty. That Royal Dux fisherman statue was really nice. At that price, I would've been really tempted. I liked the Wild Turkey decanter, behind the keyhole glass. I'm really wanting a Ski Country Ivory-billed Woodpecker decanter. At $25.00, that Limoges fish plate would've come home with me. Loved the pedestal the figural lamp was on...liked the lamp, too. That sugar cutter was interesting. That Pate-de-Verre fish piece was super-nice. There were a lot of really interesting items there. Many were out of my pocketbook range, but I liked them anyway. Thanks for taking us along!
Wanamaker and that pipe organ! The only organ I've heard that could make brung a tear at Christmas 🎄 I like the pair of 70s lamps by the "whistler" Im from Minneapolis, so I'm partial to Red Wing Pottery. I love peephole glass. That's my favorite find, along with the pole lamp (not dancer) with the spaghetti shades. Norwegian and Swedish 👋 I need more of those items. I'm adopted and just did Ancestry and found out my heritage. Thanks for another fun trip! ❤️
You were only a couple hours away! I have never heard of this place, so thank you for the new destination! Please come back to Wisconsin in June or July. Way better weather! Stay safe and warm on your travels. Thanks for another great video! ❤
What a treasure trove of goodies! I always learn so much when watching your videos. I enjoyed the Norwegian booth, as I am 100% Norwegian. The heart shaped bedroom lamp was nice. Thanks for sharing George!
Wonderful!! I enjoyed those folks and their offerings, I grew up near Poulsbo, WA which was also Norwegian settled, so these things are part of my early memories too
Interestingly, my father was a preacher graduating from seminary when I was seven years old. So I know all about the spirit world and the ouijis were definitely out of the question. However, I did play it at friends house and we had some startling things happen. This would’ve been in the 60s and early 70s. It’s spelled outA name of somebody one time that absolutely gave usA chill.
I have gotta go shop with you!! I love thrifting. Have been reselling of and on for 30 yrs. My husband just started a channel. I love to watch and learn. I’m originally not to far from Myrtle Beach SC but for the past 14 yrs I have called PO,Wa home. I heard you mention you grew up in Poulsbo, Wa. I knew you were from here of course but just didn’t realize it was Poulsbo. As I always say, “ no matter where you go, you realize it really is a small world”. Thanks for all the knowledge and all the fun!
Hi George. Another great video. I heard Tiffany from thrifting vegas reference you in her last video. You have great respect for your knowledge. Val.🐨 💟
Hobart is a name to conjure with in modern kitchens. They make a mixer that's the grade up on Kitchenaid (started as part of Hobart - just found that out myself) for home use, and their restaurant gear is still made and sought after. If you make a lot of bread, if not a lot of dough, you want Hobart.
Getting close to my neck of the woods..One of the owners of the shop used to be a vendor at the shop I'm at.The new owners of the shop I'm at are vendors there, several freinds that are vendors down there. Stop by Chetek sometime!
What a fabulous store. I recall secretly using a ouija board with a school friend in a shed at her place, when we were around 13 years old.. My friend's neighbour (who was also a classmate) joined us. I suspected this neighbour was responsible for the nasty prediction directed at me. The game came to an abrupt end with accusations flying. We also used to play a certain Led Zep record backwards but failed to hear anything remotely satanic, despite our persistence! Silliness : )
I just found your channel and i'm really impressed with how much you know about so many different items? Oh George, so much gorgeous glass! The amberina, Murano tutti frutti, very enjoyable. But was that a swastika on the ouija board? Disturbing if so, no?
Swastika was a good luck symbol in ancient Sanskrit and in Native American culture and was seen as sick until Hitler changed it’s meaning and everyone else quit using it. That means this board was printed before the mid-1930s
There is so much there and upscale prices too so I am curious about the demographics of that area : population, income average, and info on how they promote this huge place.

That place was very classy and, as always, so was your expert narration. That was fun.

I totally agree!
Thank you George! Great things to see, many were new to me this time. 🎉

It's a balmy 15°F tonight, much warmer than yesterday's-18°F. I enjoyed this episode. Loved the hunting painting, wowzers 67,000 !
That painting was pretty amazing!
Great Caesar's Ghost! The Black Memorabilia Bank right at the end of this video is right up my alley stylin' persona-wise.
That bank is really amazing, isn’t it? You don’t see many 19th century originals like that anymore

There is an antique mall in an old school building in southern Wisconsin. It’s in Sturtevant near Racine. I still haven’t seen the whole thing.
