That was a cool look back at this Sport was like in the day. The family connection is what makes it memorable. I raced bikes with my brothers, and that was a bonding experience of a lifetime. I liked the HOLLIES cut, “He ain’t heavy (he’s my brother)” especially well. Thank you.
Love it! My two favorite ones are the one with Steve Morehead & the one with Gary Scott but haven't made it all the way to the end yet because I was too lit up to hold back how cool shots these are plus the side draft filter sticking out from the Kawasaki always looked neat like that, no matter how many times they'd get removed before the final lap, they were still cool and if in a minute there is a shot of you & Terry Poovey, it is also my favorite one of them because #18 has always been among the greatest guys to get under the paint there has been as well, and the Camel Pro days the best there ever was of anything I have been a part of in my life, even as small as it may have been, it will never leave me alone! Thank you for posting so many shots of your racing career! ( I hope no one ever forgets to give the credits to the photographers like Dan Mahoney & EW Dominic along with the other ones who without, nobody would get to view how spectacular you guys were!) Again, thanks for sharing this to us!
One thing I meant to say was about the shot that shows the hearse in the background, if I was to see that during sing ups myself, it could have made me stop & think for a second that it seems a little pre mature, and do I really need to be looking at it, they couldn't maybe have put a few hay bails in front of it or something at least? Lol
Chuck-- back in the day-- the clubs putting on the races in Western Ohio- either had a Ambulance for the event or a Funeral Home hearse- to transport, hopefully an injured rider to the Hospital! Rarely used - Once or twice a year on my experience.

The Skynyrd defines this. Just awesome. How people don’t recognize this level of cool I’ll never know!

Glad you Like it, Chuck-- 4 F is actually my cousin Ken Sargent-- not me. I totally agree about the Camel Pro days!
Truly the golden age for flat track racing.
I know this filmstrip is a few years old, but it was a bit of time travel today. Good fun! Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am a proud owner of D's Leathers, I got my set built in 2017, they are simply the best!
Thanks, very early Kawasaki bikes. Bikes I own, in a few years I will be looking to auction them off, with some others.
Where is Mike johnson
Roger Scheffler
Whenever they raced it Indy I was there the 70s and early 80s

Yes it was!
Very cool! I actually saw myself in one of your photos. It's at the @ mark. Do you know which track that was? Thanks, Charlie Williams @
Bitchen!
Any Trojan Speedway alumni out there?
