I have a savage 110 24" stainless customized it a little with bolt handle and knob, boyds forest green camo thumbhole stock and a bushnell forge on top. Its a little heavy but its pretty and it will hit the mark at 500. Love it. Savage makes one helluva rifle. 25-06 is a round alot of guys forget about nowadays with this 6.5 creed. Love my 25-06. Its a dream to shoot too
I used to shoot a 25 years ago when living up north in the heavy varmint class of bench guns. Absolutely love the 25. They are the ultimate groundhog buster as well🤣
AWESOME ROUND. I have rem. 700 25/06. Benches whole for whole 117 gr. Seira game kings. It has been used on 5 deer. Now, I barely use it. It REALLY is a longer range round.
It was called a bean field rifle at one time, meaning shooting deer over bean fields at long distance. It really accels at 300 to 400 yds. Drops deer dead every time. 117 gr interlock works just fine. My 308 for closer hunt. My good ol 30-30 for woods
Kind of slow at 2950 fps using IMR 7828 SSC. I called Burger up and they were free and easy with the loading Data. 3 of the powders they are claiming over 3K fps. Sounds like you are setting yourself up for some fun and success. Enjoy NDR

Good shooting, i just had a tikka rebarreled with a 1:7.5 twist 25'06.gonna shoot 133's, what kind of velocity are you getting?
