Hello Mr. Michael, thank you very much for your video. Please, I would like to ask you a question. Recently in my company we bought a Teranex AV and we tried to activate the "Smart" option in the aspect adjustment, but it does not activate, it does not work. We are converting an embedded SD 486 SDI videos to 1080, PSF, 29.97. When we pressing the "Smart" button, the Teranex starts to flash the rest of the available aspect options button and does not activate and turn on the "Smart" option. Please, I would like to know, if we have to do some kind of software activation or validation online, in order to enjoy this wonderful conversion option. Thank you very much for your valuable help.
Seven years ago, SD cards were a great idea. What do these things ship with in late December 2024, I wonder? As almost no devices today have full-sized SD card readers. Hopefully, they switched to a USB stick. Moving on, you admit you don't have 4 monitors or TVs with SDI inputs? Really? Don't worry though.... as probably no one on Planet Earth has got four of them laying about, either. Moving on, I got to the point of "Blackmagic Devices have no power switches on them." Is that so? What the heck is the greenish-blueish colored botton all the way on the right of its front panel then? Could have fooled me. Finally, the "clever conversion" you did from 60 to 25 frames while keeping the same pixel resolution intact is worth about a $10 device. Not a USD $1,695 device. Thanks, anyhow.
Hi, I have a question, with the quadrant output connected to a monitor wall, the 4 monitors would then display the same video content right? And could you explain more on the ref input please? Thanks a lot Michael!
Isn't this just a revamped teranex 2d? I have a teranex 2d and it won't accept 1080p from new cameras. Is this the upgraded version that will accept 1080p? I realise that the teranex 2d is extremely old, but I rather expected mine to work with new cameras such as the panasonic gh4 and canon xc15, neither of which work with it. My teranex 2d will accept a maximum of 1080i from my sony z7s. I have sent support requests to black magic, but they are extremely slow, nearly 2 weeks to reply and then they pretty much ignored what I described and asked if my HDMI cable was too long LOL :) I made a youtube clip to show them what I meant, since they didn't bother to read my original email! Anyhow, even though they have bad support I just bought their web presenter, which works nicely, because they do make very nice quality products (until they don't work?) Just a word of caution to people who may be interested in this ... if you have problems, don't expect much support from the manufacturers! So buy with caution !
Thank you so much sir for your packaged information.
Can you use it to upscale SD to 1080p... or 1080p to 4k ?
It's possible to convert 24p content to 50/60p ?

Hi, I have a question, does Teranex AV make any noise when it is running, such as a hum?
great video thank you!

Is this the same as an UP/Down converter?
Very good! Thanks.
Can you use this to upscale sd video files of an anime series to 4k and then download them on to your laptop??

Two Decimator Md-hx is so much cheaper. I have for sitting in a shelf in my rack and it’s still less expensive than this rack.
Yeah, it costs much less.... for a reason. Have you ever though of that? Of course, from this video here, we won't know anything.
@ yeah….ive thought of that…its not a rack mount chassis………..AND
