I was thinking the same thing! I'm working on my undergrad degree rn in studio art. They have a great sense of motion and lead the viewers eye around the painting well.
I'm not going to say how long it was... I'll just say that it was longer than 3 years between oven cleanings for me. Nice job!
People.. Clean their ovens? I just run the oven clean setting once every 5 years or so

I personally have never lived in one place long enough to get around to cleaning an oven... I only learned there was a drawer at the bottom a year ago. blew my mind😅

So….. I haven’t cleaned my oven ever….. I bought my house in 2015.
I clean my oven racks without scrubbing for the most part. I put hot soapy water in the bathtub and drop in 2-3 dishwasher packs. I lay a towel down on the bottom of the tub to prevent the racks from scratching the tub. Put the oven racks in over night, and the crud will pretty much rinse off the next morning.
So good! If you add vinegar and baking soda it seems to glide right off from my experience. 😊

Never thought I would laugh with tears rolling down my face while watching a pregnant lady clean her oven!! You crack me up - keep up the good work.
Apply aluminum foil to the bottom of the stove and you won't have to clean it as often. When the aluminum gets dirty replace with a new piece. I do this and it makes cleaning the stove so much better. You will love it!

Your son’s art is beautiful. I have art work from my daughter displayed even now, and she is an adult. I never get tired of looking at her art work, each piece is so unique and has a memory.
You made me smile, and I appreciate you, because just yesterday I lost my beloved friend to cancer, she was just 34 years old and she didn't get to experience the feeling of being a mom and she was a single daughter to her mother. I'm so devastated by her loss that can't even get out of bed to take care of my little children. I just can't.....😭
Wow I am so sorry for the deep sorrow you must be feeling. And it's even harder to grieve when you're a mother because you have to find the energy to take care of your children when you can barely take care of yourself. Life can be so unfair, I'm so so sorry about your friend. There are no words that can make these kind of difficult times better. I'll be thinking of you. Sending you a HUGE virtual hug ❤️

I am a great mom. My girls are grown now with children of their own. They still talk to me about everything. We were big smugglers. It brings so much joy to me when I see the girls snuggling with their little ones. They are great moms too. ❤

The swiffer with a 6 foot extension is really great for ceiling fans. I am a senior who shouldn’t get up on chairs or ladders. Also, FlyLady duster. That thing really has a long handle!

My oven totally used to look exactly like that! I found a tip. I put foil at the bottom of my oven. Now, when the foil gets dirty, I replace it. Works great. I love your videos. You motivate me to make progress in my home and you always make me smile. 😀❤️
I have this amazing silicone mat that goes on the bottom of the oven. I just pull it out, clean it in the sink, and slide it right back into the oven. I bought it at Target.

Scraper blade and steel wool pads help tons! Refuse to use the corner of your blade so you don’t cause scratches. You can also use both on your glass cooktop, same thing as before, don’t use corner of scraper blades or you’ll have permanent scratches but you don’t have to use the factory recommended soft scrub, you can scrape off stubborn cooked on food on your stovetop and then follow behind with a sos pad with enough water to keep it all damp and scrub away! You’ll be amazed by how it shines and even though it’s not an easy job it will take so much less time and effort than soft scrub
Love your videos. Congratulations on your pregnancy. You don’t need a chair for the fan, just get an extra long swiffer or one of the equivalent reusable options. All are cheap at Walmart.

The robot vacuum and glass cleaning towel are game changing! I thought the glass towel was a gimmick but brought mine at Amazon and will never go without them again. I just use water and they shine my mirrors.
I’m a house cleaner and my favorite thing to use inside ovens is a Brillo Pad and a razor blade! It makes it look brand spanking new!
It's been 3 years since I cleaned my oven and it's spotless---because it's broken! And since my husband's hobby is baking breads and pies, I'm not getting it fixed until the pandemic is over and we can get out more or we will both weigh more than a ton! LOVE your videos!

Soak your grills in the bath with hot water and a few dryer sheets. Then clean your grills with the sheets. Magical 😁

I don't like blinds, they collect so much dust! But I definitely understand not having curtains by an open stove. I cleaned my oven semi-recently, but it's self cleaning. Plus we only moved in last fall, so we had to give the whole place a good scrub. Love your videos, congrats on the baby, I'm 17 weeks now, so I get the lower energy levels!
I am an artist, so I'm pretty decent with a paint brush, and I like your art! I love framing kid art, it makes me happy to frame my sons' art pieces.

When I had an electric oven I would always take that thick aluminum foil and after I cleaned it I would lift up the lower element and line the bottom with the aluminum foil. If I was able to keep up on it I could just change out the aluminum foil on the bottom was clean. When I didn't it would get icky under the aluminum foil and then I just have to clean the whole thing and put new foil in.

I used to hate cleaning the oven and the oven trays. But now I just soke em in hot soap water and then use a stove glas scraper. Those things are magic and absolute game changer!!!
What I always forget to clean is my fridge. Yikes.
I had a range similar to yours. I hated trying to clean it. With all the coils and whatsits. Rather than clean the oven, I literally saved the money for three months to buy a new range with a glass too and no oven coil. Game changer, girl. Game changer.
If you add a layer of aluminum foil to the floor of your oven it will catch the drips and make your next cleaning session so much easier!

@@ThatAwkwardMom They also make coil burner bib liners, they are cheap and really help cleaning also. I actually miss my coil electric stove, I found them easier to clean than the glass fancy one I have now.

My mini blinds!! I always say I'm going to clean them and even have a special tool to make cleaning them easier, but I never get around to it. I just look up one day and realize they're so caked in dust and grime that it's beyond difficult to clean them. So I don't.....and now they're embarrassingly dirty.
Those skinnier blinds are really a pain to clean, I used to have them at my old apartment and I hated taking care of them!
I clean my oven racks by putting them in a black plastic bag throw in liquid amonia lay that bag in the sun for a few hours and the crud can be sprayed off with a hose. I have used oven cleaner too.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy, and laugh with you on your videos 😂 I can be honest, I have never cleaned my oven🤷♀️it’s actually only 2 year old. I actually turn my fan on over the stove so that my fire alarms don’t go off🤦🏻♀️
My oven was a mess when we bought this house. The previous owner, well shall we say just didn't clean. Buy a razor thingy to scrap the chunky parts. It will help in those hard to clean places. They cost a buck. Worth it.

Self cleaning ovens are the worst thing for said oven. They break it, don’t do a good job, and can harm pets.
Best thing. Baking soda and dawn. If a bad stain put plastic wrap on it and let it sit for an hour and use a scrub daddy to scrub it.

You are delightful, I am so happy when your videos pop up in my feed. I line my oven with ovenliner, makes cleaning much much easier. I put the oven racks in a garbage bag with a cup of ammonia, seal it and leave it in the sun for a couple of hours. This gives really good results. Hope you have a blessed week. ⚘
My tip is laundry soak or nappysan as a soak for oven trays with a squirt of dishwasher liquid in hot water, leave for 2 hours. The enzymes in the products work to remove grease n crud build up. I then refill the trough with hot water dish washing liquid and scourer if necessary. Works a treat.
I haven't used it on the ovens interior but after watching this will try it as a paste like you did.

Ah that was great. You are one funny lady. I have never cleaned my oven! Its a range type that stays on all the time so far too hot to clean, yah 🎉🎉🎉 I’m very good at poultry keeping, spinning, weaving and knitting and those crafts take up most of my time 😊

Hi,really really like all of your videos.I am good at cleaning ,but just when I am reading a REALLY really good book and I give myself 5-10 minutes of reading time after I finish a chore,otherways nobody never does it :) this is my best motivation,or if I don't have a good book then I just give myself 10 minutes of starring the ceiling in quiet.

Dear Awkward Mom, This Grandma has not cleaned her oven in more than 5 years and I have a self-cleaning oven! Who has the time when you are constantly cooking for grandkids! And as for the racks, I did not want to deal with the grime. I threw them out and ordered replacements online. While my daughter tells me in looks like Pompeii in there, everyone eats up my food and no one has taken Ill yet. (And wouldn’t it be fun to find a beautiful mosaic underneath all the ash! ) Just to let you know, though, you have inspired me to clean up the oven. I’ll probably get to it next month. Then, I can open the windows and the doors open while I’m cleaning it and it won’t set off the smoke alarms.

I don't remember where I learned this but it WORKS!
Place the burner trays and oven racks in a large heavy garbage bag with 1 tablespoon of ammonia, tie it up tight and leave overnight. The next day no scrubbing just wipe and rinse!
It must be the ammonia fumes that do the job. Just be careful when you open the bag.

Two more ideas for inexpensive art or decor is shop thrift stores. I have bought some cool pieces. The TH-camr, Prepper Princess use her photos and sent them off to a company that makes canvas art. They are beautiful and she took the pictures! So cool

I also cleaned the top of my fridge. But I have yet to clean my oven... or pull either my fridge or oven out to clean under and behind them...😉🤫
This was so much fun!!! It’s been 3 years since I cleaned my oven too. I’m cleaning it because we are moving. Lol In South Carolina we don’t spring clean. We wait until after the pine trees finish with their pollen Armageddon. Seriously that yellow stuff gets everywhere. Google pictures of it. You can literally watch it blow out of the trees. I still have some of my boys’ art on the walls. I love the freedom in children’s work. I’m good at finding addresses, color theory application, and noticing people who need a boost emotionally. I am terrible with eating ice cream. You might just have to eat one for me! Your house is so adorable. It’s the kind of house that invites people to have a springtime glass of lemonade and a jump on the trampoline. Perfection.

I had six kids in ten years. I only ever cleaned the oven when I was pregnant. It was my nesting thing and I’d do it at the start and end of pregnancy.
I really don’t need more kids but the motivation to clean my oven would be kinda nice.
On a side note the odd time it has happened since, my husband looks really worried!
