Yea I sent it to you Elvis would play piano to calm himself and unwind he would play and sing a lot of gospel. He was known to be found at all hrs in Graceland by himself playing and singing gospel, he like to get bluesy with it too. If i find anymore I'll pass them along. Thanks :)
Elvis could play the Piano very well. He would play a lot at home at Graceland, he would play and, sing " Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain " on Piano! Elvis never learned to read music because, he didn't have to, it was in his head!
Elvis playing bits of the song, «I’ll take you home again, Kathleen». During the 1968 TV- special, he loved playing Beethoven’s, «Moonlight Sonata»; with Billy Goldenberg. Imagine that!
Actually in the new Elvis movie closing scene "Unchanged Melody" he is actually playing piano himself. He was self taught. Another fun fact Elvis was executive producer of his concert music. He is very underated as a music arranger.
After rehearsal’s produced some of Elvis’ best work. Before this scene, he played “How The Web Was Woven”. He never played it live. There’s only a couple of takes available. One of my favorites.
Beautiful .. there's something about gorgeous Elvis that lights a little spark in nearly everyone ...IMO ...Rory take that spark and start playing the piano more. That'd be great! Thank you!
Rory, please check out Stranger In My Own Hometown Xrated Blues Version. It's a side of him you haven't heard yet. It's so cool. As we as Never Been to Spain Live. Thanks If u need links, let me know and I'll send them. 😎
Hi Carrie :) I emailed him a link for Stranger in my Own Hometown the version you asked for so hopefully he'll get to it soon. I love his blues and country so much ♡
During this session Elvis sings the song "how the web was woven" while playing the piano (one of my fav songs). Pless react more to Elvis... he has 720 songs and I read lately it's up to 800 songs.
He was a self taught musician. Great ear for music. He has recorded a few songs where he was playing piano. Check out: You’ll Never Walk Alone It’s Still Here I Will Be True Unchained Melody (live 1977) He also played bass on Youre So Square.
That video does not fit with the audio. It is Elvis playing but the footage and audio have been put together. That footage repeats several times and it actually is when he plays "How the Web was Woven". Just see for how long Joe Esposito is bending over doing whatever he's doing.
i see this looking at it a 2nd time -- not sure what the point was in how or why it was filmed this way; i know it was originally posted a few yrs. ago correctly & in its entirety but cannot locate it
@@carolhayar3037 the original footage was probably copyright claimed so the video part had to be edited weirdly like this i think. I look for the original footage and can't find it anywhere so it's probably been removed from everywhere.
@@belinda35_77 that can be said for a lot of original footage from a # of yrs. ago -- i have screen shots from the original entirely full length Madison Sq. @@belinda35_77 it's fine when film quality or sound is enhanced for improvement but there is one reactor who took out the crack & raspiness of Elvis' voice on "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" -- also deleted he word "but" for "but baby..." & stressed the letter "s" on some words -- why mess w-that -- makes no sense & he ruined it; also, surprised that Fabrica deleted the electrical equipment sound on "I've Lost You" so when Elvis looks up in surprise then gives a little giggle, it doesn't make sense if you don't hear the electrical problem
Elvis played the piano by ear.
his soul was playing
Elvis often played piano on his gospel albums
It’s hard to believe that he never took any formal music lessons. Everything was by ear and hearing the note to play. 😊
lovely watching and listening to elvis playing the piano. and he never had piano lessons!
He could not read music which is amazing but felt music through every fibre of his body
Elvis love this man so many talents this is beautiful

Loved seeing this, I didn't know he could play so well, such a talented charismatic man thanks for showing it Rory
According to all who were close to him, Elvis played the piano and sang at home all of the time; especially gospel music.
Nice to see a candid video of Elvis on piano. I always thought he only picked at it but he had a lot of feeling in his playing.
That was beautiful. Elvis played piano on his recording of "You'll Never Walk Alone". Maybe you could react to it.
He played un chained melody He played piano in blue eyes cryin in the rain too
Sounds like "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen".

He could actually play piano better than guitar 👍🏻
