    He can speak as slow as he wants. He can talk about his situation as he pleases. It's his experience. We need to start giving grace to victims. @@thednation927 Imagine how hard it is to find true love in a world where you're always wondering if people are only your "friends" and "lovers" because they're drawn to your appearance... Some attractive people may be shallow enough to not care about the motives of the people who attach themselves to them. But, for those attractive people who genuinely want real authentic connections just as so many of us do, it has the potential to be a special kind of hell, particularly if they already have deeper insecurities and issues that necessitate having a genuine support group. In those instances, it can actually be very isolating the more attractive you are, because EVERYONE IS TOO BUSY MARVELING AT YOUR FACE AND BODY TO STOP TO WONDER IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY OKAY, HOW YOU'RE DOING TODAY, IF SOMETHING'S BOTHERING YOU, WHAT YOUR OPINION IS, WHAT YOUR DREAMS ARE. They just boil you down to gorgeous person who must have everything you could ever want just handed to you on a silver platter. It really is very dehumanizing sometimes. And that's not even getting into all the people who literally befriend you and get close to you just because they want to use you (sexually and otherwise), or because they like the optics in terms of social status of having a good-looking person around.

      The process of speaking up is almost worse than the act itself. During my r@pe kit, the nurse suggested I ask my ex to be more gentle and everything in the process went downhill from there. Sometimes I wish I left silently. The system was not made for victims.

      Being loud isn't as grand as people may think. I'm sure you don't mean to, but saying things like not speaking up allows the predator to do it again is putting more guilt on victims where around 5% of victims have rapists who are prosecuted and jailed. What abusers do after the first one is of no fault of the original victim or any subsequent victims. There are more people that protect predators than victims loud as it's kept. Plenty of women with pedo boyfriends, families with pedo relatives, kids with pedo teachers, congregations with pedo pastors, etc. and at the end of it all, the victim is asked why they didn't do this or that.

Why do people always need to “express how they feel” “I need to tell the truth” about someone else’s experience. Either express support or keep your “true” feelings to yourself. I understand what you’re saying, but in gay-straight male relationship, there are different dynamics. Some of these straight guys will pander to gay men and do anything for that attention until it gets real or they feel exposed, then they run back to their heterosexual privilege for cover.
      I had a straight friend who did that, even when I resisted, he still wanted to test the waters. We were chilling in my room one day and he insisted he wanted to watch porn with me. I warned him that it was risky but he didn’t mind. So we smoked and watched porn, including gay porn. We both got horny and then I asked to suck him off, that was when it hit him. He said no and I respected it.
      Later he went around telling our other friends that I sexually harassed him. He was afraid that I’d tell people, so he did it first. He made people see me as a creep but didn’t tell them the part he played in it.
      Why are you (a straight man) laying in bed shirtless with a GAY MAN watching porn? What did you think was going to happen? I mean it’s not a Disney movie. You knew damn well what you were doing. Sure I must respect his boundaries regardless, but he left the door open.
      So yeah, I agree with Funky. Some of these so-called straight guys can do the most when nobody is watching, and play the victim in public when their masculinity feels threatened.

It doesn’t mean the person should therefore expect to get groped or turned into anyone’s sex slave. I think it’s a little irresponsible and intellectually dishonest to suggest that just because a man may engage in that kind of social signaling that that must mean he was “asking for it”. CK is not a predator. Therefore, he may have had difficulty understanding how sick the individual is. He seemed genuinely surprised when the person got into bed with him. He also said the person presented themselves as a mentor/brother. Seems like it was initially hard for him to accept that the person is a predator. Not to mention, if this person is powerful, he probably had fear connected to challenging him. Overall, it’s unfortunate that men and women have to deal with these sick people.

      I can understand the initial shock about being propositioned by a mentor, but that initial shock cannot last for 20 years. The fact that he started collecting evidence from 2005 shows that he knew exactly what was happening.
      Further, he wouldnt be personally challenging him in Court...what he alleges is a crime...once its a crime it is the State that brings the charges...evidence in a case works the same way against powerful ppl as poor people ..ask R Kelly & Harvey Weinstein.

    • @TB-ev6kk
      @TB-ev6kk ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@poohbita_88 We don’t know who the perpetrator is. Therefore, we don’t know the details of their business together. The focus has shifted to the victim and assigning motive instead of focusing on the real problem, Predators. I don’t know what CK motives are. What I know is that powerful people are allowed to prey on others. Anyone with knowledge of the legal system and the entertainment industry knows that they are corrupt. If evidence worked the same for all, u wouldn’t have powerful people getting off after committing horrific crimes. In fact, many are never prosecuted. You wouldn’t have R Kelly continuing to hurt children when there was clear evidence of abuse (years before he was indicted). U wouldn’t have Weinstein terrorizing women for years after victims reported him (before he was indicted). Power invokes fear. The reality is, the entertainment industry is corrupt. It’s not as simple as presenting evidence. Reporting an abuser can be the kiss of death for one’s career and to make matters worse, the person may not be prosecuted.

NO. Only the latter is a crime. Power dynamics & money are the equalizer to a physically more“strong” person. If the boss is hanging opportunities over you head to get you to comply to their advances that’s illegal. Coercion isn’t genuine consent.

    I empathize with him bc I know how hard it is to vocalize your sexual assault. There’s never a “perfect” victim. Ppl will poke holes in their story and ask why they did/didn’t do something before, during, and after the assault. Sexual harassment/Abuse/rape rarely gets reported let alone a conviction if there is a report. He was groped and that’s hard to prove without evidence. Reminds me of what happened to Terry Crews. The person who did this can intimidate and blacklist him from the industry. Also, if he named the abuser, he can be sued for defamation.

    • @tincredible
      @tincredible ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I agree with everything you said except the last sentence. In order for a claimant to win a defamation suit, the claimant must prove that the statement was false, given with malicious intent, published, and caused harm to the claimant. Christian states that he has recorded audio of the harassment, so the claimant would likely be unable to prove that Christian's statements are false. The plaintiff likely wouldn't even be able to meet that very first element in a defamation claim, which would negate the rest of the claim.

If he says it’s not TP, whom everybody seems to want it to be, public interest on a massive scale will vanish! People will say he’s lying now and that TP paid him off! If he says it is TP then ALL of the interest and focus will shift to destroying Tyler Perry like it’s starting to do now. Tyler Perry has already been stained and villainized irreparably by this. The way it was done is shifty, shady and underhanded. The prey has now become the predator! He’s set up Tyler Perry without taking responsibility for his actions which lends itself to your point that Mr. Keyes put himself in a position to allow this to go on for years to reap the benefits of advancing his career and cashing in on the situation. This is in no way, shape or form a Cassie/Diddy situation. And there are more salacious details missing from the story that may highlight Mr. Keyes capitulation and acquiescence to the advances of the perpetrator of said actions. I’ll wait for the details of the police report and court filings if, like you say , it gets that far. Which I 💯believe like you it won’t.
