this is definitely my most anticipated game this year, since stardew valley i haven't had a farming sim with dating mechanics that had me deep into it so im so exiceted, the crops look wonderful i truly love the variety. such a cute fanart ♥

You'll have to farm some things, I'm sure. But your focus could definitely be mining/adventuring or fishing.
I want a really nice orchard/arboretum. That might be my initial playthrough. Do artisan things off of the trees, small garden, make it all look pretty. It would be very in line with the Vinyard.

They're so cute!! I would LOVE to have an orchard of fruit trees!! Then put the fruit plants in the greenhouse so I can have those year round too!!
The purple flower looks like bit like an iris. And the pink one could be a peony, a chrysanthemum, or a carnation. At least, that's what they look like to me. No clue about the green one

I really love how all the crops and flowers look, I definitely want to grow everything and have a giant orchard. I'm pretty sure those purple flowers are irises, and the pink ones are either pink roses or peonies. I hope peonies only because they're my favorite flower
Oooo yes I can see that!! Thank you! Peonies are beautiful I want to grow everything too, so I'm definitely going to need to invest in sprinklers or recruit the Giants ASAP, because hand watering everything I want would take all day

I love that Coral Island takes so much inspiration from Stardew Valley. Stardew is deffiently my favorite game! And i'm sure Coral Island will be just as amazing
So excited to recruit the Giants! 75 options is crazy!! I will definitely love to process my goods and looking forward to the artisan machines.
I think having the Giants helping hands will definitely be useful as we become more and more busy on the island. I'm soo curious and excited to know more about the artisan equipment!!
I'm pretty sure that the purple flowers are irises! The pink ones... Maybe carnations? As for the last mystery plant, I think it might be gumbos or okras!
I’m wondering if there will be any building customization available beyond the player house, like being able to change the barn/coop colors and exterior designs. Was there anything mentioned about this? 🤔

Irises and roses!
I was so disappointed in myself that I couldn't catch your stream on Tuesday. I felt unwell at work that day and eventually had to take sick leave yesterday (the next day). I'm feeling better now, I think I was deprived of sleep, because of all the workloads and hectic schedule the past couple of weeks.

That looks more like Red Poppy rather than hibiscus to me. I believe the purple flower is an Iris, and the pink one is a Carnation. When it was planted it looked like Red Poppy.

I have been wondering what would make the giants totem different from the sprinklers. Both of which seem to help us water our crops. At some point, I even thought that they had completely got rid of the sprinklers and replaced it with the Giants totem system instead? I think so far may be that the Giants totem system could help us more than just watering the plants, such as also harvesting the plants. But then, what would be the incentive of having sprinklers? If that's the case then wouldn't everyone just choose the Giants totem system over the sprinklers?
I also really like that Coral Island has special crops use that just fits very well with the game's concept. In my opinion, having us to grow certain crops and give it to Grantle to unlock new diving spots just encourage more players to grow distinct and different crops in the field rather than mass growing the most profitable crops. If the Goddess of Flower's altar also requires certain crops donation, then that would also be even more fun and better imo! Because the problem with some farming sim that I have played before, some of them do not really have any benefits of growing different varieties of crops, so most of the time, we would just be growing the most profitable one lol.
Yes, definitely having the Giants' help with harvesting would be beneficial, but I'm not exactly sure how the water totems would differ from the sprinklers. Unless they decide to get rid of sprinklers completely, which I actually hope they don't, because I could see people just wanting sprinklers, and to opt out of having the Giants help. I actually think the Giants may be the most helpful with tending to the animals, because petting and collecting from all your farm animals can become very time consuming in farm-sims, in my experience anyway!
I agree, there are definitely many incentives to grow a wide variety of crops in this game - which I love!!
@@sarahsunstone I agree. When I played Harvest Moon Grand Bazaar on DS several years ago, one of the things that took the most time for me is the animals. I spent several hours just to feed, pet, and take their produce. Taking them outside to the field also took me a lot of time.

could be! maybe even different types of fertilizer that offer different benefits like water retention the next day, or increased chance to double your produce?

Where do we get fruit trees from ?
I haven't asked this till now but what will the timeline of all the seasons be. On all of the Harvest Moon games each season is only one month and then it's the new year and it's restarts back at Spring. Please tell me this game will be a little longer in the seasons because it'd be great to have more time to grow crops and not worry about old hurricanes or tornadoes or harsh winds bringing down my crops
The seasons are 28 days each, but you can slow down the time so each day lasts about 40-60 minutes. There’s such a wide variety of crops to grow too as you unlock new seeds with different growth cycles, some growing in only 4 days! I have yet to feel rushed to grow within a season! There also hasn’t been any weather destroying my crops either!

Can you zoom in close at any time or are you forced to play top down?
From what we've seen, I believe the perspective they have shown in most of their photos and videos is how we will play, but they have stated that you can zoom in fairly close. I would love to see a photo mode where we can get up realllyy close like they've shown in their latest trailers!!
Farming? You mean there is farming on the island!🤣🤣🤣It will be difficult to decide what to grow, what to sell, and what is needed for a quest.
It's easy to forget when there are also SO many other game mechanics I feel like we're going to need spreadsheets
