A very under-rated bike...amazing fuel economy - that 17L tank is good for nearly 300 miles. Whether it needs traction control is debatable and the TFT dash wouldn't tempt me to upgrade from my '22 plate CB500F. Tyres and brakes are excellent - only weak point is a poor quality OEM chain. It's surprisingly punchy and good fun to ride.
Nice, simple and useful vid - thanks. Looks like Honda have done it again. At last quality Michelin tyres from the off, dual discs too. With comfort pack, i.e. centre stand and heated grips, looks like a really good all rounder. Im sticking with my Vulcan s for now but tempted!!
I noticed that almost no one gives importance to the coolant temperature which in my opinion is very important. Even in this video it is not mentioned. Does this bike provide this information and if so in what way? Numerical with actual temperature or with bar graph? Or is there just a poor warning light?
The one thing with the Honda is the amazing fuel consumption. Too many revs at motorway speeds, 5500 for the Honda and at a guess 7000 for the Kawasaki.
Just arranged to chop my V-Strom 650 in for one, also in white. Thanks for the review Geordie!
Big call. Good for the summer.
I’ve aways had a soft spot for the CB500f. This looks like a very decent upgrade. Great bike.

Can you do a comparison with the Kawasaki z500?
Sadly I work in a Honda/Triumph dealer so can only borrow our demo’s no one else will lend me bikes.

amazingly high, you mean?
Looks like a Gladius.
Is that a C15 in the background?
Yep sure is. That’s the bike my brother taught me to ride on when I was about 14.
