Good on you mate, I am a contractor and have to put up with these herberts. I once caught a female motorist placing kitchen items inc. some electrical appliances in my work skip early one morning in Clapham so I confronted her and explained that the skip was paid for by me and was not a public dumping convenience for lazy passers by. She was mortified and couldn't say a word in her defence or even apologise.
I had a similar incident, the man who was dumping garden waste into my skip genuinely didn't consider that skips are funded privately and are expensive. He thought that the 'council' organised them.
However, these jakeys in this video know EXACTLY what they are doing.
These days, in urban environments, we ALWAYS use lockable skips. I estimate it saves us about £2k per month in costs.

Yeah because it was a private hire skip it's a civil matter, if they dumped it on the road next to the skip that would have been criminal so I believe. So if anything, in my rage of throwing everything out of it on the road, if they had driven off without picking it up it would have been me committing the offence lol.

looks like it might depend on the council and how far they want to take it then. one things for sure they wont be doing it again haha
this happened to my sister except it was cardboard and she had the skip delivered and had only put a few things in it
the next morning her skip was full
the best part was the people who had put the cardboard in hadn't taken their name and address off it
so she loaded her van up and the next morning she went to the business and told the reception she had a delivery for them and was told to put it in a loading bay which she did and drove off leaving them with the cardboard again

This happened to me once. I wasn't quick enough to catch them but I recognised the van. I just took the stuff to their place and dumped it all outside their door. They didn't do it again.

This happened to me, I got a skip during work I was doing in my house, next door thought it open season on my skip, cut a long story short, the shit they dumped in my skip ended up in back in their garden, cheeky bastards always looking for a free ride.
I'm laughing my arse off right now, well done that man!

she watched everything,
Wrote down who put what in skip then told my dad
We all got stuff out skip and put it at their doors in the dark🤣

That was appropriately handled. Dumping their garbage on other peoples' property without permission is a crime of imposition, and it's typically committed by cheap-and-inconsiderate people who are only interested in their own convenience.

As a builder this sort of thing pisses me off! practically every skip I have this sort of thing happens! on one job I wheeled a barrow to a skip and found a woman and her husband dropping leaking containers in it! They looked at me and said the local tip was shut so they'd seen my skip and decided to dump their rubbish in it. I told them to remove it; they said they wouldn't as the containers were leaking telling them I didn't give a toss! they promptly jumped in their car and drove off! I took their reg, reported them and they ended up with a fine!
Good on you! The police in Cardiff couldn;t give a toss. I reported them but they said as they were dumping their crap in a private hire skip this was not a criminal offence. If they had dumped it on the road then something could be done.
Better still if they had taken the car off them , probably got 12 months to pay the fine.
I bet it was a civil matter police don't care about those.

Funny thing is last time I ordered a skip, the opposite thing happened - people kept taking my rubbish out of it, so by the time the job was completed the skip was virtually empty. It ended up being picked up by the skip hire lorry with almost nothing in it 😂
This happened to me once.. I signed for a small skip in the morning to shift garden rubbish, it was on the road in front of my property, when I got home from work nine hours later the skip was completely full, I think passers by and neighbors thought it was a free rubbish collection.. I was fuming.. who do you point fingers at when nobody speaks up because they probably all dumped in it.

You could go through the garbage and see if you can find names and addresses and return to sender/send them a bill.

I had this but I tipped it all out the neighbours house as I recognized his gate in my skip . It may not have been all his but who cares as he didn't care I paid for the skip .

@@EgonSorensen i hear you, i did look in a few bags to see if i could find a postal address but found nothing, these people that take advantage know what they are doing and i think they know dumping their address will have a knock on effect so as dumb as they are they know not to give themselves away.. they clever but cautious, i also feel them sniggering at me from behind their curtains and blinds, which gets me more infuriated. Few years back my local closed chip shop opposite had a skip delivered tea time, I was up at 7 in the morning and it was full by then, and the workmen didn't arrive till 8. They were not happy, can't blame them either.
Weldone buddy,amount of times people chuck rubbish in the skip when I'm on a job.dont mind if they ask ,but these skips ain't free they are hired in for a job.

Well done that man. At the end of the day it's theft. You paid for that skip and the space for your rubbish. They tried to thieve some of that space. And that one man bloke looks at you like you're the one being unreasonable.
We had to empty our house, so we hired one. one day we got there to continue putting the rest of the furniture but it was completely full. We ended up leaving the rest of the house alone with all the furniture and having the new house owners do it if they couldnt respect us enough.
It is genuinely distasteful and scummy. Don't throw your garbage in other people's stuff, whatever it is, or how small. Thanks! :)

Many years ago I arranged a skip for a house clearance but the opposite happened. Vans pulled up to empty it as we filled it as the chap was a watch dealer and we were throwing thousand of cheap watches into the skip. Saved us getting another one.

When I was a kid In the 70s our neighbour would drive around our neighbourhood looking for skips to dump his garden waste at night !!!

There is a new breed of person now who considers it normal to act in this manner. The parents brought them up without considering others and so they do the same and pass that on to their kids. Had they KNOCKED or asked at the property " can we put this stuff in your skip" IT MIGHT have been different..they ASSUMED, the skip is theirs to use and they can put in it what they like not thinking that SOMEONE had PAID several hundred £ for that skip to be there. It MIGHT have also gone some way to asking .

He paid for the skip, and when you apply for the skip you have to specify what purpose the skip is for and what will be going in it. If when they come to collect it they see stuff in it not agreed upon the person that paid for it can be charged more or worse have the skip not collected till it is sorted and then charged for addictional rental fees. He is right to be angry, it cost him hundreds more just cause these junk dumpers.

Back in the '80s, when I first came to NYC, I took on a job from a very wealthy couple on 96th st. I'd to renovate part of the interior of their brownstone, plus do some concrete work out front. The job was time and material, and they were too cheap to hire a $50 dumpster. She told me to dump their waste material in the one across the street, after the crew who were gutting an entire building there, had gone home. Anyway, next morning I had three large construction workers show up as I was preparing to do the concrete. They wanted two hundred bucks for using their dumpster, so I just rang her doorbell, and introduced them to her. She'd to pay up...but she didn't learn any lesson.

Years ago I was doing a council contract for full heating and bathrooms. The Boss had 8yd skip delivered to dispose of the old stuff. I came back next morning to find old mattresses, kitchen units, and bags all in there. I jumped in the skip, and threw it all out over the grass next to the skip. It was gone the day after. Cheeky fkers.

At least it wasn't a 2CV they dumped in there! On some jobs things are so bad that we now pay an extra £80 or so for covered lockable skips - and there are still one or two people who leave crap on top of a locked skip

Thanks mate. The phrase "Brave or stupid" comes to mind when I look back at this. I suffer a little from 'Red Mist' syndrome and I guess I was lucky - they were probably dumb founded. Skips are so expensive these days it's just a shame some dishonest people out there are like this. Nothing came of it, I reported the matter, however - if they fly tipped it on the road it would have been a criminal matter, but as they were dumping it in a privately hired skip it became a civil matter.
Anyway - You've done some great T25 uploads - I've got an '89 AutoSleeper due for an MOT this month needing some sill repairs and later this year a major overhaul. I've got a MIG setup and was hoping to get to grips with it to tackle the camper when I finished off my garage, but I think I'll have to put it in for the time being. Cheers!
