Beautiful car. I love that color. I have a 2013 Boss 302 in school bus yellow. It has a Tremec Magnum XL trans, 1 piece driveshaft, .410 gears, Ford Racing springs, Forgestar CF5V wheels and a Corsa catback exhaust. It’s my favorite Mustang out of the 5 I have owned. I sold a 650rwhp whippled 03 terminator to get my Boss. No regrets.
This same exact Boss 302 in grabber blue with the hockey stripes is on sale and I put a deposit on it. I dropped the ball on an 03 Cobra. Won’t happen again. Tried to buy it 10 years ago but couldn’t order it on time.
The 2012 Boss 302 has the '69 reverse "C" stripes and the 2013 Boss 302 has the '70 reflective stripes. Larry Shinoda (chief Boss 302 engineer) was making the car for his boss, Bunkie Knudsen, hence the "Boss 302" name was chosen from many other names.
They are a special Mustang that's for sure. Definitely meant to be tracked. Owned a race red 2012. Put the Michelin MPSS tires on mine as well and added Corsa Extreme mufflers. With the track key, the sound was absolutely incredible. Enjoy yours!
Nice review, I have 2012 Boss 302 , it is the best Mustang I have every owned and this is my 7th since 1981. 68 in-line 6, 1971 v8 convertible, 1994 gt ( 20 years owned until a pickup truck smacked me in the back), two 03 Mach 1’s which I presently own one now and the mighty 04 Cobra which was great but that clutch beat me up. Thanks for keeping the Boss alive!
Erik Ressdorf it is Kona blue with mild mods: tuned Airaid CAI, gt500 mufflers , 85 mm Tb which is great!Ford should have put the 85 mm Tb on from the factory and side plates removed.
Checking in as I have a 2012 Boss. Bought two months ago off BaT. It is absolutely amazing. It is my 4th Mustang. Had a 1988 Saleen then a 1991 GT that u autocrosses and beat on. Neither one ever broke. A long break to a 2013 V6 which I tracked at Line Rock several times. Funny how I raved about the 225 hp in my early 5.0s but was a little bored with the 305 hp in the V6...
Beautiful car!! I have also owned 3 mustangs, 1st 1991 GT emerald green with the silver lower, 2nd 1993 LX 5.0 red hatchback, and finally 2019 Shelby GT350R Race Red. I love all three cars. Enjoy the Boss, I enjoy my Shelby.
Great review! I own a 2013 Boss 302 Laguna Seca, chassis number LS 190 (school bus yellow). I’m the first owner. As of July 2021, I have 35k happy miles on the car. The Boss Track Attack race car driving school brilliantly demonstrated to me what the 2012-13 Boss 302 is capable of. Congrats on owning this fine automobile!
Too bad they're located in 'The Peoples Socialistik Republik of Kalifornistan'... which is abolishing ICE (internal combustion engine)-powered vehicles in 2035. 😒
Hey my Boss brother. Just like me I’m a mustang guy the boss is my 3rd mustang. I had a 78 Mustang 2, not the best time for that. I had an 86 LX 5.0 notch back I loved that thing until I bought my Boss. I hope you still have yours. I too have the grabber blue and they are indeed the rear only being 435 total made. I was just wondering what number grabber blue you have? Mine is # 400 of the 435. If you don’t have that info you can go on fordperformance.com and get the info. We do have a piece that is rear and I for sure not trying to get ride of her. I have some videos up. I changed the cat backs to corsa extremes and the car screams even more. Go have a look👍🏽.

It’s funny, Ford had placed the 5w50 boss engines on the late model 2014 GT premium, track package to include the 05w50 engines. I’ve got one of them but it got all the bings and whistle added with it.but love my Boss!

I had a 1973 model Mach 1 Mustang with a Q code 351 Cobra Jet Cleveland 4 barrel.
