@@Terrorbrot at the end of the day, i think these are all just proof of concepts for a more well rounded product down the road, even the foldable devices already out. slab phones still dominate, not purely because of cost, since there are now flips that are relatively affordable, but because foldables don’t really offer anything new to the mass market outside of niche use cases. i think battery tech is what’s holding back advancement, because the idea is to make these devices as malleable as paper. the components outside of the battery are now small enough to have a device that can be crumpled. batteries are still solid. that’s the problem.

I did a great deal of research on them from other repair shops and reddit groups, they mostly all say the same thing, those phones are unreliable and are prone to breaking. Feel free to get one yourself, fix it and see how long it will last you. Your experience might be different but I'm not willing to make that financial investment.
The last phone they made had the camera running 24/7 so that it would see QR scanners and automatically provide a QR code to access your bank account. Thing is that it would work with just a picture, so a scammer could tape the picture of a scanner to the back of their phone, run the camera and swipe it over your phone and now they have access to your bank account.

i would never buy a foldable phone, regardless who makes it. i drop my phone at least once per day. it wouldn't survive a week lol - that's why i use protective case all the time. never had an issue with anything breaking, never had to replace a screen or other part of any phone.

I'm not biased. I've heard it sold really well compared to iphone 16 in China. The cpu power is between night and day but the trifold display screen is a revolutionary design. While most android smartphone companies already debut their foldable smartphone, Apple still decided to stick with single screen display. Most iphone 15 users still refused to buy and upgrade to iphone 16 because the specs is almost the same.
Its simple, foldable phone is trash. A single screen phone is more practical in terms of usability and design. Durability is also an issue, screen this thin can get scratches easily. The season it sells well in china is because of NATIONALISM, the CCP markets this brand as “you are a good citizen if you buy Chinese brand approved by the government”

A 7000 mAh cell would've sufficed. Top that with having a better SOC like stealing some snapdragon 8 gen 3s and the phone would've been a lot better than every phone on the market, but in reality Vivo X fold 3 pro Is better in every way.

i would never buy a foldable phone, regardless who makes it. i drop my phone at least once per day. it wouldn't survive a week lol - that's why i use protective case all the time. never had an issue with anything breaking, never had to replace a screen or other part of any phone.

I'm not biased. I've heard it sold really well compared to iphone 16 in China. The cpu power is between night and day but the trifold display screen is a revolutionary design. While most android smartphone companies already debut their foldable smartphone, Apple still decided to stick with single screen display. Most iphone 15 users still refused to buy and upgrade to iphone 16 because the specs is almost the same.

This video is literally racist AF. The triple foldable isn't that bad of a foldable tablet, but imo it really lacks on the battery division even with a silicon carbon cell inside it's way too small. A 7000 mAh cell would've sufficed. Top that with having a better SOC like stealing some snapdragon 8 gen 3s and the phone would've been a lot better than every phone on the market, but in reality Vivo X fold 3 pro Is better in every way.
