The real problem with this method is it is unlikely the anti freeze ever gets into the block as the thermostat will be closed and all your anti freeze is going through the bypass and out the manifolds. If you really want anti freeze in it pull the thermostat and pour it in that way.
Your sunsport probably has an out drive unit that you’ll have to use fogging oil on. Don’t forget to drain the gas (or use a stabilizer). And store the battery in your shop off of your concrete
Is there an actual drain plug at the front , under all the water hoses ? Perhaps this particular engine has that ? Can i just remove hoses at the front to achieve the same
@@christopherbrannon1995 exactly. These dudes didn’t do it right. You pull drains first, empty any water. Then run antifreeze in. And leave it, don’t drain it. Idiots
I would get it running and keep shooting starting fluid in it with quick bursts every 5 seconds. Just enough to keep it at a idle for a minute or two. All the fuel will be bad by next season as well
Lmao you guys did your steps wrong. 1. Drain plugs Drain all water from plugs (there’s 4) 2. Hoses Unclamp water hoses, empty beat you can’t 3. Run antifreeze (6-8 gallons) Then leave it. Don’t drain

What about when he drains it from the block and thermostat and see coolant? Looks like it works to me
some insist that after this, you drain it out of the drain plugs...which makes no sense. why use antifreeze, if you are just going to drain it out?
I have an 87 sunsport. Will be doing this myself next year instead of over paying someone else

If your putting coolant in it, could you just leave it it there since it wont freeze?
I think your suppose to drain the block and hoses first then run the anti freeze in and leave it

Is there a way to pump the coolant in without running it? My carb needs to get rebuilt over winter so it’s won’t stay running right now

@@workingallday8194 thank you! Do you have to drain the fuel or can you just use fuel stabilizer if there’s only a few gallons in there
Pull thermostat out and pour it in that way only a couple bolts. Might also want to buy a new gasket just in case.
kinda, sorta, not really. Don't copy these guys.

8 gallons? 2 max.
