    borderlands are quickly becoming my favorite WvW maps, and Bay in particular is always a good battle, both for defending and attacking. TY for the guide sheriff, many people dont know about the siege spots lately so it's nice to have a handy guide to direct a squad to!

    Super clear and concise video! I love the use of seige markers on map and the at a glance companion guide. It really helps me visualize the area cohesively!

      I'm not totally happy with that companion -- I felt like it was useful enough to post along with the video, but I definitely want to keep iterating on the design and information that it contains. We'll see how I can tweak it further. :)

    Thank you for the guide series - but would LOVE to see you cover the defensive siege placement on objectives. That is a thing that is very hard to learn and I'm yet to see any guides on that!
    Keep up the good work! :)

      That's been a common request on the Reddit post as well. I'll probably update the visual companion first, and then see about putting that information in the videos later on. The nice thing about the visual companion is I can change and update it pretty much any time I want. The videos are a bit more permanent, unfortunately.

    Great video absolutely loving this new series. i always felt like wvw is suffering from a serious lack of fight oriented commanders and its great to see you making this series to bring wvw back to life. Could you do a video where you explain the calls a commander makes from a commanders point of view and the different steps of a fight like empowering doing a fake push range spiking or bombing.

    • @sheffplaysgames
      @sheffplaysgames  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes -- Communication is going to be one of the next two or three videos, which is going to get at some of that. "Steps of a fight" comes down to your squad composition, though. We'll get at that a little bit when we talk about how to build a squad, but a lot of times, the calls that a commander makes come down to the way that they built their squad (or, the kind of people that ended up joining that night if you open tag).

      I like to use siege to force fights and defenses at specific spots in an objective. It's not *just* for breaking down walls and gates, you can also use it to dictate where people have to fight you to defend. :)

    What about watergate walls? You dont mention them in the video

    • @sheffplaysgames
      @sheffplaysgames  ปีที่แล้ว

      Counterpoint: what is a gate if not two walls, next to one another? It's very briefly mentioned at the start of the North Outer chapter, but I could have sworn there was a metal grate down there and not two walls. I think I got it mixed up with another keep and didn't double-check because it's such a weird spot.

    • @SirPureBS
      @SirPureBS ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @sheffplaysgames there is 2 walls, the metal gate you are thinking of is the portal(or maybe green keep ebg)
