Have been using the Higole pro 2 for some time now. Never had any problems and have been very impressed with the build quality. Fan has never been an issue for me. I use the tablet for Spreadsheets, email, youtube and stocks. Gets a little warm so I added some cooling fins on the back and works fine. Just ordered the F9B with LTE so will be interested to see how that works. Great helpful video!
The HIGOLE F9B looks like a fantastic product. Can't wait to receive it . I want to enjoy exploring its features and functionalities! 🙌🏼 #TechEnthusiast"
Hello, I'm your new member. I really appreciate your videos. I wanted to ask you if an update came out for the fateful 100% fan problem since I would be interested in buying it for Christmas. Thanks in advance for the answer!
I would like to increase the wifi reception using better antennas, could you tell me what type of connector the card has? IPEX? If so, what model? Thanks.
That was very interesting thank iou. My use case is to use it as a portable pc in the outdoors. Very interested in your views on its performance for light use and general manufacturing quality. Does it get really hot when running at 6 watts?
It doesn't seem to get hot although the fan is stuck at 100% on the current firmware, I personally would lean towards their tablets for outdoor thanks to the much brighter screens amzn.to/4cWDUHq for a lower demand application and amzn.to/3Y3emUQ for a higher demand one, I haven't had hands on with either yet but am working on that currently
@@PocketablesYT Thanks, however, I will use it at night inside a tent and I really like the power efficiency of the unit and relatively small form factor compared to the tablets. I also wondered if you had used it with a power bank - according to the notes it will charge at 12 volts at 3 amps which is a pretty common PD setting
@@KayakKiwi_Peter I haven't tried it with a powerbank since most of mine are older and won't do 12v@3A(I should dig around and see if I have one that will) but it does take usb-c PD in I've used it with some ~45w GaN wall adapters with success and seen it draw about 20W using a type-c power meter I have
Hi guys! Has anyone found a solution for the noise emitted by the fan (which always works at maximum from the moment it turns on)? I love this mini PC, with all its pros and cons, however I just can't use it because of the "exaggerated" and non-dynamic noise that the fan produces. I had the previous model, fanless (Higole 1 - 5.5") and I'm seriously considering manually detaching the fan since the manufacturer has told me that there is no remedy for this "problem". Personally I would have made the return, however they framed me for good purchased from their site (instead of from e-commerce like amz or aIiexpress). Please tell me that you have found a solution because it really seems to me an absurd paradox.
when it comes to wifi can you connect to 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz . also have yo tried to install some software on it does it effect the performance ? also from what I saw in your video it uses SSD not emmc but in the official website I could not see SSD in the description I only saw emmc
The device has both 256gb emmc and a 256gb ssd, I installed windows to the emmc when I reloaded it, yes it connects to 2.4 and 5ghz just fine although the wifi is a bit slower than I had hoped(hard to compete with intel there) it's not bad, as far as performance it seems fine i've been mostly using it as a network diagnostic tool though is there something specific you want tested I need to make my followup anyway
reply from the manufacturer: Regarding your questions: The Higole F9B 7-Inch mini PC supports a maximum of 16GB DDR4 RAM at DDR4 3200 MT/s. The maximum capacity for the mSATA disk that can be inserted is 2TB.
Those are certainly supported numbers but I will say I have 32gb of DDR4 2933 in my unit already, as far as the mSATA bigger is certainly possible on a technical level however no one is shipping a 4tb mSATA drive i'm aware of at the moment.
I own the F9B and can confirm that the RAM can be upgraded to 32GB using Crucial RAM 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory CT32G4SFD832A. The system is also a bit snappier as the upgraded RAM runs a bit faster. The price was less than $60 on Amazon

Glad to hear we have some more verified working modules, I don't suppose yours is any quieter than mine? I haven't heard anything regarding updated firmware.
@@PocketablesYT No, mine is pretty noisy too. Have you found a link for drivers? I think they're standard drivers with the exception of the accelerometer and the touch screen though.
Not yet, I did some tinkering in the bios and it didn't help much, I could swap the fan(it's modular) but they're supposed to have a firmware update(soon) that i'm hoping will work before getting too drastic

Nice video, but the audio quality can be improved!
One question: If I want to increase the SSD capacity, will I lose the 4G capability?
Super!!! Thank you!!
I'm very interested to know how large the SSD it can handle. I'd love to drop a 2TB in it. I'd like to use this for my Oculus as a video server.

Can it run steam?
Steam will run just fine although without a proper gpu there's a limit to how many games it can play well directly
