I will DEFINITELY check him out. I listen to a lot of old school jazz…Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, King Oliver. When I heard Will’s piece it was an immediate throw back the the early 1900s. His sound is unbelievable.

Let me say this … talent is One thing. Being God gifted is totally different. That man made his trombone sing from his soul. That is the best trombone soloist I’ve ever heard in my life. He is truly gifted and amazing. Talk about using your gift to its full potential. He is the perfect example finding ,using , and sharing your gifts wisely ! I am proud like I know him !

I also have strong faith in God’s gifts, and this man has one, but we must also recognize the skill he has shown in this video. I’m also a musician and I know the dedication it takes to turn any sort of talent into something THAT good. This is the perfect storm of God’s miracles and a man with a mission!

I was so surprised, and almost disappointed that this was from two years ago and it’s the first time that I’m seeing it, but actually, that doesn’t matter because the anointing coming off of this man’s MINISTERING with his instrument is still fresh. Almost makes you want to cry it’s so beautiful.🙌🏾

Not only did he play high notes, he made it sound amazing and projected it very well. That takes a lot of talent.
My own school's trombone section is preparing this fanfare and I'm on the solo part. I think I can play with a sound that sounds 45% like Wil, but deep down I know I'll never get up to his level no matter how much I try. And yeah the triple Db's, C's, and Eb's are really hard to get a good sound on, especially being a tuba player who just so happens to be able to reach that high on bone lol

I don't know anything about anything about anything about trombones or band music but I listened to this and within moments it had me so hyped up that I got emotional.
