After getting used to the "thrown into the same chemicals as Joker" origin, it's kind of jarring to see Harley have a normal skin tone.

Nah. I’d say the #1 healthiest joker/Harley dynamic is from the Lego Batman movie. #2 is from the 2004 Batman tv show.
Honestly, I wish more versions of joker and Harley were purely platonic. Joker literally should not be in any kind of romantic relationship (and in most versions he actually doesn’t seem to be interested in the romantic aspect of relationships. His main motivations for ‘dating’ Harley seem to be a way to placate Harley and her obsession w him, and a way to manipulate Harley into doing what he wants.)

@@scomo7yearsago958. I always viewed the “romantic”/“sexual” aspect of Joker and HQ’s relationship as being one-sided. She genuinely loves him in a romantic/sexual way (or at least, she has been manipulated into believing that she does), whereas he does not love her and completely fakes a romantic/sexual attraction in order to get what he wants from her. Compare to Light Yagami and Misa Amane in Death Note.

I love how she actually does become a good guy as time goes on. I know it's not canon to the games, but in Injustice 2 she basically becomes the new Robin in everything but name. Presumably this Harley would have the same path. Without the Joker there to influence and manipulate her, she genuinely makes friends with Batman and his allies and becomes one of his closest confidants.
Nah it actually makes the writing a bit confusing and Batman look bad. Because how can you ignore the contributions that she had in the genocidal act and the death of Lois?

Yeah that never made sense to me, even in the games and comics she gets off scot-free. She helped Joker setup the nuke and was literally his right-hand gal, but apparently since she stopped being evil after Joker died, Batman and all of the resistance side with her

No way. I see this as annoying and so incompetent. She was actually funny and smart in BTAS series. Here’s shes written like the writers didnt know anything about her besides her being “quirky.” Her voice is also so baby for some reason. Like her pronunciation is very odd. It just feels like Marvel quips and jokes
