I was particularly focusing on the cons of this motorcycle. Among the various cons you have listed, I found only one to be bothersome. It is the lack of tubeless tyres. Getting stuck with family in the middle of nowhere, is something I shall like to avoid at all cost. Carrying an extra tube for rear wheel might solve the problem if puncture takes place during daytime (In night time, there is no hope). Yet then, the trouble is fixing the rear wheel back. It is not a single man's job. At least one more pair of hands is required. Performance of puncture resistant gels (FormulaX, Aayami, etc.) is questionable. Some you tubers have praised such products while some are disappointed with it. Apart from this every other con could be taken care off. The footpeg issue is not an issue. I ride R15S (older model), it has an identical issue, but I am used to it. Now, you have not focused upon the inherent issue of this motorcycle. These are: (1) wobbling of front wheel at higher speeds (above 60 kph); (2) bike pulling to one side when the handlebars are released; and (3) engine stuttering and shutting off while changing gears from 2nd to 3rd. If you have tested it, you could comment upon it.
Hey bro .. i am not sure if the problems you listed are with the older models only .. but i think they are fixed in the newer ones . I brought a int 650 recently and found none of the 3 problems you mentioned luckily.
Hey bro! Even I feel the same wobbling issue in my tb 350 so what should I do.. Should i sell the bike?? I had also faced the puncture issues so should I raise a voice against RE.. Instead of it I started to live with my bike cons and always enjoy my long trips.. "Every problem has a solution" we just have to figure it out..
@@sa-su-ke7256 for city rides its pretty normal .. just like riding any other bike.. you will need sometime to get used to its weight and dimensions .... but if you go for long rides and get onto the highways , the bike just kills it ... to get maximum fun and the least pain in your palms and shoulder , get yourself a good padded gloves for long rides(without gloves you will get tired and bored of riding it . I had wobbling issue earlier even at the speed of 50 to 60 kmp with pirelli tyre and someone insisted me to go for stock ceat tyres and now after installing new tyres even if it crosses 100kmp bike stays highly grounded with no wobble and I never faced any issues with gears it feels so smooth and precise especially top gears The issue what I faced is with rear brake bites and front suspension where I felt it could have been much better. And the pillion comfort is low because of rear foot peg placement so need to work on that once after buying to adjust it & touring seat , pillion back rest is better to have for safety & comfort
I've made test rides of it's rivals before buying interceptor and happy with my decision.. the engine is highly refined so maintenance is much easier, costs minimal for services but taking it in city traffic isn't easy because of its weight need to put more efforts but on highways it's the beast with added touring seats for better comforts and zero vibration in top gears If you're looking for long-term use then it's made for you & none other bikes in this segment can give you such a high quality ride feel.
Your review was bang on for most of the points except the following: 1. Engine heat is not much, instead well managed. Bike runs cool on highways for whatever miles you'll munch. Only in heavy and continuous traffic engine will heat as the oil air cooler becomes redundant with no air flow in traffic. 2. Foot peg is an issue especially for pillion. The rider foot peg hitting the legs in traffic is matter of time before u get used to it. 3. Bike is heavy - Fact. But easy to handle at any speed and in traffic, u just need to know ur limit of tilting the bike. 3. The rear stand is in fact very well designed u can easily put the bike on and off the stand without noticing the weight. I think u lack the technique of leveraging.
IMHO, The brakes (specially Rear) heats up after prolonged use and suddenly stops working and its a very big safety issue. Second big issue is the Engine Heating....
When riding reasonably powerful bikes like the interceptor use the rear brake sparingly. Front brakes will do the job, only if additional braking is required towards the end apply rear brakes mildly. The front brakes of the brakes are excellent and I’ve never felt any issue in braking even after continuous riding of 140+ speeds

This is the reason the footpegs are spring loaded and easily falls back when it touches the back of your calf muscles. It's just a matter of a day or two. The rider easily gets habituated with this as the pegs just slide back automatically when needed and comes back to position on its own. This is not a con imo, as it is beautifully taken care of with spring sliding pegs. Those pegs do not hinder function not even a bit in real life. Normally journalists or youtubers ride the bike for very short time and they complain. In real life owners don't find any issues. Breaks are fantastic. Front large disc has some really serious bite. The rear break is rather soft and abs kicks in early at rear. In combination they work like gem. Almost no heating issue even in this summer.
