Thanks, great content. The two years residency requirement for citizinship is a bit tricky, my understanding is that you have to depend on some passive income for survival for the 24 months or work remotely for a company outside Mexico or so?
I am lucky to get immediate permanent residency bc my husband is Mexican and we have three kids who have dual citizenship, so I was able to use my oldest daughter who was 12 at the time to obtain my residency. We moved to Mexico in 2018, and we stayed. Love it here. I did the whole process from start to finish by myself.
Thanks for the great video as always! What are the benefits of a temporary residence (e.g., from an investment perspective) besides obviously being the path to permanent residency and citizenship?
One benefit is that with a Temporary Resident Visa you are able to legally drive your foreign plated vehicle for up to four years before you have to import it or sell it.
5:15 yes it works with brokerage accounts. I qualified for the TR with brokerage accounts. Had all monthly statements stapled for the last year. The consulate officer was not used to it and chatted with his boss, but that worked well. Especially when I shared my banking app with them 😅

I was able to get my Permanent resident visa at 46 with my pension at the Mexican consulate in McAllen, Tx. This was in February 2023. McAllen also accepts people from out of state, unless it’s changed recently.
I've wondered about possibly getting Mexican permanent residency since I read that if you have either temporary or permanent residency, you can own certain firearms at least in your home. As a tourist though, the government kind of gets bent out of shape if you decide to your natural right to bear arms. They only allow the cartels to do that... :( I have quite a bit more than the minimum savings / investments to satisfy their requirements. If you decide to do all the work yourself, how much does Mexico charge for the various fees?
Thanks as always for the interesting content. Would be good to know if you've helped any UK citizens secure TR or PR in Mexico? Most of the online advice appears to be for North Americans. I visited Mexican embassy in London last summer and they downplayed/denied PR by economic solvency.
Just a quick question, for temporary residency's income requirement, do I need to prove I can work remotely, or what consulate that does not ask for it?
So someone mencioned to me after you get your TR. card and when your at the airport to fly back to states you need to go get your passport stamped at the airport immigration office so they keep track of you coming and going. True??
@@FTKTransportation correct for residency. You just need to go there to get your card and renew it. For citizenship you need to live there fot a while.
Hello thank you for this video. To clarify, does the savings for the temporary residence have to be a sum of the past 12 months or as long as you have the required amount? If I made the savings amount requirement in a month, is that stuff sufficient?
You can also pay yourself the minimum requierment for six months with money you already have. Every consulate has a different requierment to prove economic solvency from $2600us to $4400us. Buena suerte!

Hi, 🐦🐦🦜🦜🦜🌷🌷🌷May I share the most important news you will ever hear? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?

You can put your Mexican born children into a school in the USA but no one, including US residents, is getting free medical, free food or free housing! That's just a lie and right wing rhetoric to give the impression that the border is wide open to anyone that wants to come here and "it's an invasion!"
