I have traveled to Paraguay, done business there. We are coming back to establish a large project and will be HAPPY to pay this country and government 10% in taxes. Wonderful, kind and happy people.
As a paraguayan I think it is working to our advantage that people think it is a "shithole" and that it is one "of the poorest countries in the world" as someone from Venezuela once told me 😂😂. I just never say anything and stay quiet like most paraguayans because we don't want to get a flood of poor, unqualified people from the region or elsewhere like many countries receive and we know the consequences of that with crime, urban degradation, cultural clashes etc. We love they think that so nobody comes, only people with enough money. We know traveling around countries like Colombia and others that we have a much higher standard of living but we just stay quiet and don't care what others think. Something that is not true though is the lack of low budget airlines..there are some: jet Smart, Paranair, Fly Bondi and others I can't remember now. On the other hand, mosquitoes are not that presente everywhere all the time..I mean, in the cities where people live there are very few except at peak summer maybe. I assume that in the wild there are more but still I can't remember feeling lots of them even when I was in the countryside.
@@TheWanderingInvestor Now I am in the process of getting the cedula. After that I might need some help to get the RUK and the tax certificate. Do you offer such service?
I would see not well connected as an advantage. If Paraguay was well-connected, that would mean more investments, more tourists and a higher cost of life. Being not well-connected prevent the country, to some extent, from losing its stability.
Great video! Thank you! ☀️ We ❤️ El Paraiso Verde 🇵🇾☀️🌴❤️ in Paraguay ☀️❤️ We have been living happily with our family in El Paraiso Verde since 2021, and we are very happy every day in this protected settlement area! ❤️ Even back then, there were a few nasty agitators who were paid by the competition to speak and write badly about El Paraiso Verde. We didn't let this influence us - and we are very happy about that. Our daughter plays with different children every day - and always with her favourite Paraguayan friend. She is already going to school. She can move freely and safely around the 16 square kilometres of the settlement. We live happily here in this professionally guarded and protected settlement area with our friends and so many warm-hearted settlers of El Paraiso Verde. We love to go swimming in the almost always marvellous sunny weather - and we can do that here in one of the many wonderful bathing lakes in pleasantly warm water almost ten months of the year. We also go into the jungle several times a week - and it is always an adventure for my daughter to discover the exotic animals up close. Our daughter is also very happy here on horseback, and on our tours by motorbike or bicycle through El Paraiso Verde we are amazed by the different animals and wild bird species in the nature reserve. We have also had our titles for our properties for a few months now. Fortunately, we had bought another plot next door, as there will soon be no more plots available in the immediate vicinity of the jungle. We are now having Reljuv build us a house right next to a wide river and with a view of the jungle, very close to a large lake that we can go to by boat or swimming every day. As a pleasant wind blows here almost every day, we will soon be windsurfing on the large lake. For the few cooler and rare cold days, we look forward to our sauna and our open fire. We are happy and grateful that we and our family have become a living part of Dr Erwin and Sylvia Annau's brilliant vision in this magnificent settlement project. We enjoy every wonderful day here. ☀️❤️🌴
Great video, coming across very honest and without bias. I know this video was about other topics but please do elaborate on minimum stay per year to keep the residency valid and how long it's for (renew every year, every 3 years etc)? Thanks a lot
@@TheWanderingInvestor I want the details of 'how' an 'what is needed' to start with...temp residency. Would your guest help me to get residency? Thanks
Aleksandr said you can open a local account with the residency card. Sorry, but this is wrong. I just went to EVERY bank in Asuncion a few weeks ago. Everyone requires the cedula as a starter. Many require more than that (for a basic account mind you).
A few points I would like to share. The government doesn't control you, except when you are on the radar such as through the residency process. then you are dealing with massive corruption. Bolivia is the other territorial tax country in South America. For negatives, the biggest one you missed is weather - it is beyond insanely hot almost all year, without oceans/beaches to cool off.
Fully agree on the weather. Not many folks can adapt to it. It's September 2024 and we are already reaching 42/43 degrees celsius in feel like temperature! Factor in the smoke as well. Over past few months we only had several days of blue sky.
Hi, is this a re run? of a former interview, we were there a few months ago, really liked the country, but when it comes to speed limits etc, I got three tickets in 20 minutes, going 80km in a 50km zone, on a four lane highway, found out from others, I didn,t get a discount. never got a ticket in my life before, I was told there is only speed check on route two
Maybe you could go into a little depth regarding bank accounts. No cedula, no bank account. I can see this being difficult for a time while waiting for the cedula. Some years ago I read somewhere that it was possible to open an account in an ahorros y prestamos, without cedula. Still possible?
Hello, In paraguay you can´t have your gun in your car, you can only have it on your house, with the "portación" document you are enabled to carry your gun in concealment, and only with that credential you can have it on your car or in your concealed carry holster.
Gun laws in Paraguay are very straight 4ward....the "basic gun" permit allows you to conseal/have your gun in your home and car,etc...for the formal permit you can "wear" your gun on you at all times...this type of permit needs to pass a license...paperwork that the armeria(places that sell guns) take care off ,it entails aswell a few hours course,a cpr course and safety course aswell as a show of your proficiency in the shooting range(which is done at the armeria aswell)
Did Paraguay require a certain shot during the pandemic? Lockdowns? Also, can a gun purchased in the US be brought to Paraguay (with other belongings)?
Wait until December it's a bloody oven, extremely hot and pretty dangerous, lovely people, I studied Spanish there and nearly melted for 4 months a year

Also I have picked up on numerous reports from foreigners, that bank transfers coming into Paraguay are frozen because of the demands of explanations where the money has come from!! Comment please.
@@FPrill Yes. Just run with the assumption that banking in Paraguay is horrible. Bank back home, in the US, Panama, Uruguay or Mauritius. We can also help open accounts remotely.
I like the rugged individualism and liberty in Paraguay. The heat and mosquitos (Dengue fever) are two downsides. Real estate can be fraught with pitfalls. Crime happens and there are "Motochorros" so never show wealth, not as bad as Medellin but yeah it happens here.
