I wouldn't get your hopes up, after 1 or 2 more elections it will turn 180 degree and go back as before, that is the only political certainty in Argentina lol, with this said as a temporal stay is a great country to live, just don't put your money there...
Pity this was not posted a bit earlier. I just in BA a week ago and would have like to meet up. I was very surprised at what I saw and taken back by the resilience of the people. In particular the positivity of the young people who expressed a confidence looking forward with the changes taking place in the country. Let’s hope it gains traction, great country, decent, smart people who deserve better!
Great video, there is a lot of conflicting information online. I read there is no physical presence required to renew residency and only 7 months per year to get the citizenship. Seems like this is a good option for someone that really wants to live in Argentina full time.
I live in Argentina. getting a residency in Argentina is so so easy. That is why so many ppl from countries around Argentina are coming here for free education and free health. yes, education and health are free no matter where you come from as long as you easily get your ID (there are not any restrictions or qualifications), It is ridiculously insane. It makes no sense. and it has been causing us so much damage in the last decades.
@@joec3390 Taxes in Argentina are insane, most accountants barely even understand them, and enforcement is weak. I’d rather stay away from this topic for my own sanity.
Crime rate isnt as bad as you think. For example, only one place in Argentina has worse statistics than Paris and Brussels, and thats with official sources on both sides. You have to be scared for your phone in the street. Yeah. Buenos Aires is superior to western capitals rn, for sure.

@@TheWanderingInvestor what’s with all the Argentina bros talking about getting Paraguay residency if living in Argentina? You’re still an Argentine tax resident if you live in Argentina with or without a Para residency cert……
You're the only one I've heard say that rentista visa requires $1500/month per person. So my family of 3 (me, wife, daughter) needs to prove $4500 in passive income every month to move to Argentina, I can live in Dallas, TX for less than that. I know for a fact I can live in Argentina on the $1500 per month. I have a hard time believing this is accurate.
You don't need a visa really. You get a 3 month stay without one. All you have to do is travel to another country like Uruguay and get it reset for another 3 months.
@GrandChessboard I don't think you can qualify for Citizenship like that though. Also just spoke to another attorney yesterday. They said $2500/MO for a family of 3.
@@DanielMurrey Thanks. Then it would be 1500$ for the main applicant + 500$ for every other person? Do you think it would be 1500 + (4x500) = 3500$ for a couple with 3 kids?
Thank you for the information. Unfortunate there are no investor residcency programs there. I was hoping things would open up with the new government. I suppose it's to protect Argentinians from foreign investment increasing the cost of real estate etc.
As mentioned in the video, you would need to live the majority of the year (10 months) in Argentina and then apply for citizenship after 2 years. Citizenship is granted by a judge in the courts system so the whole process is more likely to take 3-4 years as the attorney mentioned.
@@АлександрШохнин-о9н I was referencing the Rentista Argentina residency option and then applying for citizenship with the Argentine courts system that is discussed in this video by the attorney Martin. Around the 13:15 minute mark, the attorney Martin literally states it takes about 2 years for the Rentista option and then another 12-24 months after applying for citizenship before it is granted. Of course, individual cases might vary. The point is that the whole process for the Rentista option is more like 3-4 years or more.
