Military band trombonists are so underrated. They're amazing players and should be appreciated as much as orchestral players. Also, holy shit that first trombone player's high register is INCREDIBLE.
Skyler Acevedo wow such an old comment of mine! I’ve changed trajectory a bit and now plan on joining the commandants own drum and bugle corps after I graduate. Your reply is a great inspiration to keep working hard. Thank you very much!
@@harrison7723 Learn your musical intervals and you'll learn to relate what you hear to what you know. A tonic (or a 1) sounds very final and in a major chord is the root of the chord. Since this key is in Bb and his note sounded like a "Tonic" note it was easy to assume it was a Bb. If he ended on a D you could relate how that note sounds to the Tonic/Bb and assume he was playing a D and so on.
Awesome job! This is partially what inspired me to keep playing trombone when I first watched this video back in 9th grade. I graduated 4 years ago & I’m still playing to this day, as well as gearing up for my first on-stage trombone ensemble performance at the US Open Brass Band championships in November.
im a trombone player myself in the highest band in my middle school and im glad to say... i dont care what my mom said im joining the army just for this
I love the harmonies in this arrangement, and great playing on the musician's aspect as well, phenomenal low notes and the high notes being played we're breath taking, hearing the high notes that are usually played by the 1st trumpet part in the national anthem on a trombone is amazing and they sounded great. Very well done.
excellent interpretation!!! the best that I have ever heard!! all on trombones, it is like a dream !!! thank you for posting, it does have a majestic sound that in my opinion only trombones can achieved!!!!!
i play trombone and this is just amazing how in tune they are to each other and the begining sounds the best tbh i really enjoyed this and props to the 3rd guy playing the Bb on the last section. well done :)

Great! Of course it being one of the most fun part of playing low brass instruments (and fun to listen to), I love the excerpts in it: the Mozart, Ravel, Wagner, and (I believe) even that hard to catch Schumann reference
in my opinion. the trombone is the most majestic of them all. not to high. not to low. just perfect
I'm sure our trombone section agrees with you!

As another trombone player, I can assure you that a tenor trombone can have a much greater range than you think, so long as the player can handle it
I 'm in the Evans High School band and I play the trombone.
Those variations on ride of the Valkyries and Bolero were a nice touch
