      @@Core-Electronics , I would love to print this file , unfortunately I could not find this anywhere even if I follow your link.
      Can you please help me out.

      Breaks my heart but I think he took the file down. He has got similar models with exceptional detail worth checking out however. If I had it still I'd swing it to you.

    Awesome! But still i would say get a Photon Mono X or elegoo saturn, then you could paint with much less postprocessing

    Easy for you to say ...lol. how come I never see 3d printing with dual nozzles where one prints plastic the other wax for voids ...20 years ago such machines were plentiful although expensive. Before I retired I kept such things as ball-bearing races and pivots which seemed impossible all printed using this wax process . Some of those bearings were impressive. One company was printing 1/8 scale short blocks and the wax served to form all the voids for water jackets oil flow bearing surfaces ....a work of art .

    Great vid, and I would love to do this with some of my 1/96 scale warship model parts. However i cannot get CURA to centre both models, whenever I zero the bed position the 2nd model just keeps popping back to another position!!. Am i missing a setting somewhere in CURA. Thanks

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I reckon if you click on the drop down menu for Preferences, click Configure Cura. Then in the Menu that popped up in the General Tab theres a setting called 'Automatically drop models to the build plate'. If you deselect that it may fix your problems.

      @@Core-Electronics Thanks for the reply but no, it didnt work unfortunately. I have read that to put both models in the same position you have to merge the models. I have tried this and it seems to work, setting the surfaces before merging, but haven't printed it yet. Will let you know how it turns out. My model is exceptionally small so I am not holding our much hope but ever the optimist :-)

    ~ How can I take an existing 3D shell of a model train rail car and downsize it to another scale?

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cura will provide you scaling options. If you want to add internal structure to your Shell (by altering the file) I would recommend using CAD software like Fusion 360 or Blender (both free!).

    For me I just make different parts like engine separatley exahust wheels like 20 separate pieces it is much easyer to print and I enjoy building too

    What if I wanna upscale a resin miniature? What kind of software would you recommend to prevent loss of Detail?

    • @Core-Electronics
      @Core-Electronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lychee Slicer is definitely a good software to use 🙂 - core-electronics.com.au/guides/3d-printing/resin-printing-3d-slicing-software/
