Sonic 06 won yesterday's poll, so here is a Mephiles Boss Theme remix I made a few months ago, commissioned from Nogitsune. Thank you again! I kind of want to stream Sonic 06 again one of these days, just for the bad memories :D

Totally agree! A plot point in 06 that I wish was in the newer games is one where Shadow will eventually be betrayed by everyone, Mephiles says to him that it will happen in the future so when and why? I think that's a interesting idea waiting to be explored...

Can we all just agree that Mephiles is one of, if not the, best villians ever introduced in the Sonic series? Too bad the game didn't live up to his badassery .-.

He's not only the best villian and the only one to archive his goal, he's also really fucking OP, he only use the Chaos Emeralds 2 times and even before that Shadow, Rouge and Omega stuggled on a 3vs1 battle againts him
Yeah, honestly, he's pretty entertaining and can be totally creepy, and I love that about him. I feel they totally could have had more fun with this character in the story, and I wish he had more interactions too. Like, he doesn't even speak to Sonic. I'd actually love to see an interaction between the two. Totally missed opportunity with this character sadly.
Preston Peewee i think is ok, sure he barelly talked to anyone except Shadow and Silver but his character is already good whit that little interactions, i don't really think Mephiles needs more talk since his personality aireado portraits him as a mostly silent person

Mephilis truly is the best villain in sonic history.
1.Legitimatly Killed Sonic.
2.is almost immortal because he exist in 3 different timelines.
3.was able to Legitmatly reach his Goal despite all the efforts of the heros.
4.it took 3 super forms to take him down, wich he is the only villain to have ever taken this much effort to defeat.
5.he was Legitimate so dangerious that even Eggman diden t dare to mess with him.
6.He was a Legit Reality warper that diden t need tools for it(looking at you infinit).
7.His Personality and cunningness Matched his Powers perfectly.
8.He was so Powerful, Killing him made his Game None canon and change those the continuity of the entire franchise xd. something even the time eater coulden t do.
Just to be clear: Mephiles is not Solaris. Mephiles' only goal was to become Solaris. Whatever happened after that was Solaris' problem.

If there's one thing I remember genuinely liking about Sonic '06's gameplay, it was definitely the first boss fight against Mephiles. I loved how he was _actually_ a shadow on the ground. That was so cool.

I love the opening, the horrid voice of Mephiles alongside the distorted sounds the start gives off is very ominous and intimidating.

Grandark Zephyrum The Sonic 06 we got was in fact a prototype accidentaly put on the discs for meeting the deadline. The real one never came out.
Sonic 06 could have been so good. Fix the game, small changes to the story and it just feels great. Even just changing Elise to the Archie comics love interest would have been much better
DagarMan0 um i dont think that they can just sneak Sally Acorn into the game and 'fix' something that actually is a prototype of the game. If its still in their database maybe they could idk, take what should have been released to the public, update the graphics a lil bit and bring *that* to the Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC? I mean its still better to release a finished playable enjoyable version of Sonic 06 rather than fucking up Sonic Adventure 3. They can do that to see if its still worthy to make more of that style.

Grandark Zephyrum u sure? If it were me, i would dig it up, fix whats maybe still broken, rework the story into a canon form (yep retcon the reset) and not only include what could have been in the game, but perhaps a lil bit of Sonic Adventure magic while being at it ;)

The funny part about the Sonic series is that it’s taken multiples nosedives in quality, but the music just...never falters.
Like, seriously, even Sonic ‘06, what is widely considered to be the worst Sonic game ever, has really good music.

I love the use of voice clips throughout, they mesh pretty well! The animation in the corner being slightly out of sync with the beat bothers me more than it probably should though. I really like your music!

I love the fact that this whole game is not canon because at the end Sonic deletes the reason why the game happens and so none of the events of this game are existing in the timeline
Actually not entirely true. Mephiles was sent back in time, paradoxs could have easily been opened up when Forces, Generations fractured the timeline.
Not exactly,time eater is able to bring back crisis city.Time itself was deleted by time eater,sonic's speed repairing time inevitably brought back mephlis.

Sonic 06. Bad game. Good concept. Godly music.
Also, while some music you remix do OK with the dubstep/sync like beats, (in my personal opinion, but i still like it) this is one of those pieces of music that are perfect for your style. (Again, in my eyes)
I disagree upon it being a bad game I enjoyed it far more than even SA2 to be honest I feel people judged it with far too much bias and lost sight of all the things it did well but this is also true of The newer DMC which also was better than the original in my perspective. To each its own opinions are variant to all.
The reason it being bad is because of a time crunch for the 15th anniversary
If they remade Sonic O6 and made it way better with no bugs or glichts or anything! it would be a great game like Sonic Colours.

Its quite ominous, just like the demonic doppelganger of Shadow should be. Fantastic, and you even used voice clips from the game to add into the terrifying vibe.

whats interesting is that there is extra voice lines that could only be heard with headphones and you have to be off mono audio or it won't work and its just voicelines from the game

No matter how shit the gameplay gets, Sonic's villains and music are always, and will always be, amazing. From Chaos to the Finalhazard to Metal Madness to Solaris, Mephiles, and Iblis to Dark Gaia to the Time Eater, their villains are just the coolest.
