The seat pulls are in the trunk for a reason it’s in case you get like say kidnapped or something and stuck in the trunk and need to get threw the back seat back into the car the whole reason for the seat to lay down on these is as a safety issue

It was taken care of as far as mechanically but they failed to tell us that 3 bags of kitchen trash had been locked in the trunk for a year, another in the backseat for a few months. THE SMELL!! 😭 We tossed the trunk bottom liner, guess we'll have to toss the side lining too cause the smell is relentless. Definitely have a mouse somewhere & I couldn't get the backseats down to clean. It was sold super cheap so I guess we got what we paid for 🙃
I've been trying to find a video that will help me my Cobalt was involved in an accident the battery is no longer existing it can't get power I can't get the trunk open I need to lay the seats down how do I do that without opening the trunk......
For those asking how to pop your trunk when your battery is dead, only way I know how is jump it from the engine compartment, look on the fuse box and theres a long screw thing, give it 12v(power) from another battery(battery jumper will work too), or another car and then it will power it to allow you to pop open your trunk
Anyone know how to do this without opening the trunk? My MIL gave me one that doesn't have the option to open the trunk via key and the battery is dead so the button doesn't work. I hate her.
Is there a way to get into the trunk a different way? I bought the car off my auntie and she didn’t bolt the battery. So my key (the only one I have btw) is locked in the ignition and I get reach the trunk

If you have your key in the switch and your car is dead and can’t get in the trunk what can you do any helpfully comment with going to the chevey dealer to have a key made
But there is a jump post INSIDE the engine bay. Theres a little red cap/ long lead bolt sticking out of the fuse compartment, thats your positive, and you just hook up negative to the strut bolts or another sort of bear metal for ground, be logical of course on where you put the ground
@@bidenisanidiot8029 actually, battery completely dead which is in the trunk btw. If you put the key in the ignition to try to start it, the ignition switch locks and won't release the key. Trunk button won't work either. Dummy positive post and ground in the engine compartment won't charge or start from a jump. Really a screwed design that you then cant get access unless you have a 2nd key. Bad, bad, car design. Not the driver's fault.
Hey Angeleah, that makes it a little tough as those are only accessible through the trunk. Is the trunk damaged where you are unable to get into it? Maybe, you could stick a stiff object between the 2 seat divides to hit the release? Just brainstorming, but I am not sure... sorry
That design makes sense. If you're putting something in that needs the seat folded down, you're almost always putting it in from the trunk. Great video. Thanks!

Pop your hood up open, jump it with another battery or another car with a battery and it will power it up so you can pop your trunk

Put jumper cables on the positive post and the negative to the ground and you will have enough electricity to pop the trunk
