    Hi Elle :) Yes its shocked me too! I Biology really does have more of an impact than I could ever have guessed. I think stereotypes and socialization often exaggerate these differences, but they really are there! Its so amazing to be on the inside watching this happen!

    Still watching and loving these videos as I go through my own transition journey. Thank you again for making these.
    It helps me put into words what's going on with me. Especially the bit about how I relate to people now.

    Congrats Finn that you're feeling more & more at home w/ yourself! :) 15:05 - 18:08 Your discussion of how biology has impacted your interactions is superb. How you perceive Nat's sharing before vs.after T, also how you've become a man of fewer words -->classic M/F dynamic stuff. My bf & I often deal w/ that. Reminds me that we need to be mindful of our differences, that perhaps T vs. E biology has more to do w/ it than we realize, & it's not just stereotypical socialization. ~Elle

    Thank you so much! yes it is really interesting to be observing myself and experiencing the difference, it s so apparent and its not just me noticing it. I really have trouble with a group of women now...they are all gossping and squeaking together and I just feel lost and naturally drift away wheras before id have gossiped with them...its so funny!!! This is the best exploration ever!! :D

    Hey bro, another great vlog, as always. Wonderful that you are finding life so awesome right now, finally! Great about the anxiety, or lack of. I am exactly the same as you in regards to that. I cannot speak on the phone, and meet people etc, so I hope that helps me eventually. Happy 3 months dude :))

    I'm 33. For me, I'm just soo excited that I pieced it all together and gave myself permission to transition that I hardly think about what I missed. Also, I think it's important for me to carve out safe spaces for the young guy inside me to grow up. And so for now my 33-year old and 13-year old exist on parallel paths which will eventually converge. This entails some entertaining and immature moments, which I juggle with my adult responsibilities.

      9 years later, I loved reading this comment. I'm the same age you were then, starting the same journey. I hope yours has been beautiful so far.

    Why yes of course its silver! Im the silver fox! I never knew I could be so excited about hair! I cant stop looking at it!!!And yes, my voice is just brilliant and its just getting deeper! Couldnt have wished for a better change.Mate I cant tell you how wonderful I feel, the words just dont come close to explaining it, thank you for saying it shows, Im enjoying every mili second! And thats a very good point about my lack of anxiety letting the true me through, thanks so very much my good friend

    Wonderful place you are in, Finn!! Happy for you.
    I'm 11 months on T, and the some upper ranges of my voice pitch have returned, though the tone is different. I find now that I have them available again, I will speak higher when I feel I am perceived as female to make others comfortable rather than in my natural pitch which likely perpetuates the problem. Just something to be aware of for future reference.

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I totally get that, what id missed hadnt even properly crossed my mind until now, I think suddenly feeling so right and so "ME" brings up some....god why didnt I do this sooner...thoughts. I love your explanation of parallel existance, thats so true!

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thats exactly it!Everything has become an equation!And yes I was in AA before coming out and with the whole issue of having to say your name I had to give an expanation too really. Im glad Ive been so open about it as I get so much support from everyone, they are all behind me and its great. I even mention it when i do a chair,that often gets shocked looks! It can feel awkward at times but I think the nature of the program means trying not to disclose it just complicates things

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know, neither can I! Its more than I could have ever hoped for already :) Me and my family were looking at old vids last night and the change so early on is already profound. Thanks so much my friend :)

    I loved these ramblings! They were very informative! And man, I'd go on T tomorrow if it weren’t for the voice thing. I hate the idea of losing my singing voice. It's the only thing that puts me off, but it's a big thing. So torn!

    • @FinnTheInfinncible
      @FinnTheInfinncible  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah thank you! And I understand the worries, I have heard other people who are performers express similar concerns. There are people who document this exact issue its worth having a look!

    Amazing, I sure enjoy your excitement. Yes, the voice is work. I mentioned how it seems to go up when I try to project it. Now, I can't growl at my girls when playing with them (dogs). I am sooooo happy that you are loving the changes. You look great Mate!!!

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Carter! I am indeed in a wonderful place.....i love it here! Long time coming! Thats interesting about changing your pitch around people depending on how you are pecieved...Im going to watch out for that, not sure if I do that. Interesting about your upper ranging returning, I guess Ive got a while before mine come back then!

  • @AndyMcKeever12
    @AndyMcKeever12 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Yeti-Man! I might have to replace my "gray" word with "silver"...much better! Your voice sounds incredible; very deep and man-like. Congrats on no "." yet; you can sneer at all those feminine products now! You DO look relaxed, less anxious, and so, so happy. I don't think that your personality is changing as much as your reduced anxiety is letting is shine through. It was a wall, a wall that's breakin' down. Enjoy the freedom!

  • @becomingwill
    @becomingwill 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    With the voice thing - I asked my son how he learned to use his new voice when it broke. He didn't think he had to do anything differently, it just got deeper. Maybe it's the fact that T changes our vocal chords so quickly that we have to learn to use our new ranges.

    Fin you look and sound incredible can believe how different you look and sound in 3 months well done dude :)

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you Ethan! My excitement is tooooo much to contain!! I have the same problem when talking to my gerbils!! It also makes them jump a lot!!! This is fun!! :D

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes that nakes sense, I think compared to young cis males,our change is so fast that our vocal cords dont have time to catch up, This is likely why singers often choose to go on the lowest dose because its probably not that good for your cords to be put through its paces like this! Its really interesting and Im having great fun learning to use my new intrument...(ooo errr!) make myself start sometimes when i say something and I hear myself....or when i try to say something and nothing comes out!

    Awesome video bud, totally agree about having to work on the voice, if I'm calm its more male , if I get excited its female.
    Yeah to sex drive, I love T for that.
    I totally get feeling like you need to solve something when Nat is just telling you about her day. Also I find myself wanting Jo to get to the point :( Bad Me!
    I could never gossip with women even before T, I think it made them believe I didn't like them. I just never understood them and had nothing to say. Now its worse.

    What you say about your anxiety lessening with going outside gives me hope....I have Agoraphobia and rarely leave the house...I’ve been on T for months and not really had any changes, but my dose is very small....I wonder if my own anxiety will be affected when the dose is increased. I also have top surgery in November, and my daughter reckons my confidence with go up after that and I’ll be able start going out more...fingers crossed 🤞😁

    I'm still pre T & find women chew my ears off when they talk & I have not much to say, so on T I think I will be mute with ear plugs! Women do tend to just talk so much waffle tho.

    • @FinnTheInfinncible
      @FinnTheInfinncible  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not all women! I generalised a lot in early days! But, my communication style has definately changed in transition, thats partly hormones and partly how I am very much more relaxed now!
