    Harmony, beauty, mindfulness. I am observing every single mouvement trying to learn the whole form as unique sequence. I am 88 years old, but I hope it's never to late for learning. Thanks, Master Helen Liang.

    I have been aware of Helen since 2003. Her dedication to her path shows in every video I have ever watched. I have shared her videos with my wife and daughter as inspiration. I was so glad to hear that even cancer could not stop her. Many more blessings to Helen and her path of practice and teaching💮

    I'm new to Tai Chi and came across this video amongst several others. Helen's elegance and presence was so captivating I purchased the how to beginning streaming videos (using Vimeo). I've just spent the last 1.5 hours watching and being taught, step by step, a few of the forms. I'm elated with Helen's teaching style. Being able to use Vimeo from laptop or TV is awesome (I no longer have a DVD player). I used a mirror to help me coordinate properly with her right and left side instructions. And now, I've just read several comments and am even more delighted in choosing Miss Liang!

    Observe how easily she opens all of her joints. That is the mark of a good practitioner regardless of what form she is doing. My teacher knows her father, and everything he's told me about Liang Shou Yu tells me he is top notch as a teacher and practitioner. Even though I do Chen style, I think this is excellent. Thank you for posting this video.

    I practice daily, and I love it when I get to my levels of higher Chi achievement, only whenever you're free for a quick Chi balance measurements of greatness it feels as if though your having a great time with the essences and elements because it is the best thing that has happened to me before the end of the work I used to have. I love it and it will be the same as the one in the picture of my Tai Chi Yeung performance in reviewing the oldest Martial Arts of China I've ever came to thoroughly enjoy!

    i do old chen style (long form) but i have to say that also the 24 bejing yang form is a very nice form - it's very different and focused more on the soft elements of taiji. after getting to know the spiral movements externally and mirrored internally in the dan tien from chen style the 24 yang style also feels different doing it now compared to doing it as a beginner before doing chen style. i like this kind of mixture.
    ( and of course it's very nice to see it done by such a beautiful lady :-) )

    I've been practicing Silat and Escrima since 1993 and Taiji, Bagua and Xingyi since 2008. I like practicing slow twisting and circling steps with blades. It nourishes my brain and I circulate my chi to stay healthy and massage my internal organs to stay soft and limber.
    The first thing I would teach someone is how to relax and root and circulate Qi. After relaxing, someone can learn basic Gong Fu!
    Ginseng
    A river of life through eyes
    Seen blue skies and dream
    Each day’s scene
    A shade of green from the leaves
    Beautiful blossoms
    So many herbs
    Spirits
    Here you find a shining light
    So bright
    A cloud floats across with no boundaries
    Except the ground and the sky
    Clouds fly high
    They seep through people
    Around trees in the breeze
    Tai Chi has no limitation
    A cloud is Water
    I thought a cloud went around and around!
    I can see the clouds in the sky
    They shift and coil like dragons
    Everyone has seen the clouds high
    On the peak of Tai Chi

    • @jonathanbaker7854
      @jonathanbaker7854 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kristin yes tai chi can be done with out the spiritual aspects however it will be like practicing swimming 🏊‍♀️ without getting into the water 💧.You can practice swimming in shallow water, and work your way to deeper and wider , no problem follow your experience. Any of the martial arts 🥋 practiced with out the spiritual aspects you’re just doing calisthenics. ( You know how to swim, but you’ve never actually been in the water.) Or I believe in God I’ve read the 10 commandments but I don’t listen 👂 to God or obey the 10 commandments.🗡📖🙏🏿👌🏿❤️👍🏿😎🌹

    • @autodidact2289
      @autodidact2289 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jonathanbaker7854 Yes, that's what I thought. I respect the tradition and I would feel disrespectful just going through the movements. My Y asked me to learn and teach it, and the more I learn, the deeper it gets. I want to help my seniors with balance but I just can't get right with it in my head because I have conflicting beliefs. Any thoughts? And than you so much for your prompt response.

    • @jonathanbaker7854
      @jonathanbaker7854 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kristin Here you go, my explanation was not to venture into right or wrong. This can be done ✅, when you start out with a calm and quiet 🤫 demeanor you will notice a meditative state. (1 of the 5. You can look up the 5 types on “Bright side or Brainy dose. I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ which one you’re more prone too.) you would now be swimming in 4 foot water 💧 in a swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool. No problem you won’t get swept out to sea. But what I had a hard time with when I started Kung-fu was being a perfectionist with the moves. Obviously 🙄 this is practicing swimming without getting in the water 💧. What learned was this wasn’t really necessary slow and easy mentally or on paper 📝 note mistakes correct them progress will come in both areas stress free. You don’t have to be a master to teach or learn. You will see and feel the automatic integration of breathing and the meditative state. When you can and you will know and feel (hay I can swim 🏊‍♂️ from New York to England.) the next level let your conscience and confidence be your guide. That was what I learned when I got out of the perfectionist right or wrong zone. Happy 😃 training.🌹👌🏿❤️👍🏿😎

      Tai Chi is a daily practice, a discipline of the body & mind that offers an opportunity, to relax both the mind & body, in addition to experiencing it's many health benefits. To solve life's problems one needs to change their mindset. That comes from examining one's own mind, the thought patterns & reactions that arise when life's problems present themselves. Tai Chi, Moving Meditation, can get the ball rolling to where one is not bombarded by one's own judgments, unpleasant thoughts & feelings. Eventually the practice does change you & how you think & approach problems & life. There will always be problems--it's how you react to them.
