Something a little different for y'all today!
When Haltech USA decided to build a display engine it had to be something quite unique, very special and visually appealing. This fire-breathing, quad turbo, V12LS is all those things. Aside from entertaining the masses at various shows and race meets, the engine has also been used as a development and test mule for many upcoming new products - including the NEXUS R5! Enjoy:)

1450hp and an engine like that belongs in a powerboat and the boost to be turned wayy up to at least 20psi ..running on all that cold fresh ocean water should keep the temps down and provide great durability testing

I'm going to say that since you like talking about old money, then you should do a retro mod. Maybe something cool like a 1967 Pontiac Tempest. Those stacked headlights would definitely make it look unique, and that steel frame will hold the power without any mods. Not to mention there is plenty of space in the engine compartment.

It all depends on what car can fit this engine in. Most modern cars don't have the space for it, which is the reason why Factory 5 is designing their F9R to accept this monster. As much as I would love to see it in new C8, I doubt if the bay is big enough.

If you can make it fit in something mid engined like the new vette or older nsx or mr2 or some lotus chassis... That would be awesome. You wouldn't be grip limited at that point as Engineering Explained points out in his vid about why the newer vette can be faster with less hp. Plus there is the chassis dynamics stuff that impacts ride quality and handling where mid engined set ups also tend to be better.

  • @ph.5063

After recently seeing a 70's Firebird from a shop in CA with crazy HP; I like the idea of first putting it in something classic. So how about using the body of a 55-57 Nomad, but make it a mid-engine. Maybe use the trans-axle from the new Corvette. May require extending the wheelbase for such a massive engine. But it would sure help weight distribution. If I win the lotto, you can bet I will request some shop build it.

Well at 7 psi it should add another 50% in power. I am more curious about fuel and air distribution. I think with an intake like the Holley Hi Ram with the A2W intercooler between the base and the lid and 4 throttle bodies feeding right off the turbos would solve any airflow and fueling issues, remain compact for packing in a chassis, look trick as hell and with such a short path to pressurize off the turbo near instant response.

This is a really good example of amazing engineering, teamwork, blood, sweat and tears can do. This would have to be one of my most favourite custom engine builds to date. I have one question though, since you guys have built a V12LS, would it be possible for you guys to design and engineer a V16LS?

That's probably a question for the guys at v12ls.com who designed and bui8lt the block etc.

It’s gotta be in the 1500 ball park. 4 turbos, with that much displacement. We’re in aircraft engine territory here. It’s gotta be fitted to a formula off-road, Icelandic style. you can make it fit and show it off. Ye-ha.

Can u make it camless n crank less and add variable piston displacement b turbo lag control for the next project may be dropping the weight 30% n increasing the boost range on the turbos

Connect a driveshaft and differential to the cart you currently roll it around on, that way people will stop suggesting what you should put it in

7 psi is equal to approximately 0.5 bar. Half of 0.5 is 0.25.
    700 hp + 25% = 875 hp
    700 hp + 50% = 1050 hp
I believe it is putting around 920 hp though.

    • @thatboringblenderguy

I do find it hard to believe that 4 turbos produce only 7 combined psi
