Super useful, thanks for your work in putting this comparison together.
This is thorough and authentic: just us, the mics, and your thoughts. Love it.

The V7 is truly amazing, especially for the price

sE V7s (including the MK and X models) are fantastic mics for working musician’s. Quality build/materials and road worthy.

The handling noise on the v7 is a real deal breaker. Once you get up to the £80 mark and beyond, you shouldn't get that much handling noise in a dynamic mic that has that form factor (designed to be held). I would guess we're about the same age. Whatever I do I find when holding a "bad" mic in my left hand I can hear a very slight rumble. I use the Rode M1 for interviews. It seems like quite a dull mic to me and is about the same price as the v7 but I can hold it in either hand without any noises.

    Nice video!
Could you compare the SR117 with the Rode M2 and SE X1A?

I'd like to hear some Ghost Stories recorded with these mics ...

What’s the difference between the se v7 and the v7 mk version?

See my video comparing the V7 with the V7X. The V7 MK is like the V7X (instrument mic) with the V7 (vocal mic) grille and foam. I has more extended bass and less spike in the treble.
