It's always empty 4 me bc I'm homeschooled and nobody else at my rink is... I'm soooo alone😩
I have a stupid question and I'm a little bit late but I hope someone's gonna reply anyway.
I've been wanting to start skating lately, but I saw our rink will close at the end of march because the skating season ends.. that sucks. Does every rink close during spring-summer or is it just ours? If it does, will it be open once in a while during summer? Or if I join a club e.g., will it have an impact on the rink opening hours?
@@Johannaxpk in our rink it's just closed for the public. Ice skater or ice hockey player are still able to go there since they are in this club. But I don't know if it is everywhere like this.

I remembered when me & my friend went ice skating on her birthday. Both of us haven’t skated in years & years. Every time we fall other people will come and help us. But once my friend fell I helped her but i also fell and we kept laughing because it kept continuing it was the best day of my life. We were both crying in laughter 😂

I used to be a competitive figure skater but had to stop due to neurological conditions. Miss it a lot. I am glad that, even tho I am not able to do it, with an exception to public skate, that I was at least able to feel free before. It's truly an amazing feeling when you can accomplish something on the ice. Have fun to all who skate now!

Wow, so I'm years behind (just had this recommended), but one thing I've noticed is that there's a barrier of fear with skating. Being afraid of falling and getting hurt, with a focus down on one's feet seems to be a big thing to get past. I remember when I first went roller blading (so similar, I know) that at one point I just got tired of being afraid of it, made myself relax and just take off. That's when everything changed. I can't wait to try ice skating.

And I have another question, can you just wear like leggings and a shirt during practice and not like a leotard or something because I hate leotards?? Kawaii Pizza Horse people only wear leotards and dresses during performances. You’ll be just fine wearing leggings and a top. I would definitely recommend wearing a jacket as well as scraping your bare arms on the ice can hurt if you fall a lot.

When I went ice skating with my non skating friend and my friend that also skates, we eventually just told her to do bubbles to move and build confidence on the ice, once she did that at some point she could do actually pushes to move forward.
