A long time ago I had a John Deere bailer. I bought it almost new for little money. Why it was sold for little money (at the time I didn't know)
    1. The auger was belt driven. It slipped too much for good use.
    2. The auger when turning did not catch the hay if it was slightly damp. Or, when it over loaded itself.
    3. The two needles that were used for tying the bails were not sitting right because faulty driving rod. So too often the needle hit something inside and got bent. This happened till we notice hat we have to shave the inside of the needle to align it to 90 degrees with the driving shaft.
    4. The driving belt for the auger slipped often, tightening did not help. I found some spray the almost eliminated the slippage..
It did do an excellent job when bailing the peanut dried plant.

How many bales do you get in the wagon by stacking them I think you would be better off just kicking them in the wagon. I’ve done it both ways and between driving slower and watching out for the guys in the wagon it wasn’t worth it. But maybe I’m wrong in a 9x18 I was getting over 150 bales

Long View Farm, we have a few different sized wagons, tossed in can get 130-160 bales, if we stack we can get 200-240. We often stack when we have an order/delivery to get more on, it also keeps the bales from getting smooshed so they stack better at their destination if they aren’t all bent up. We usually just toss them when the wagons fit in the barn, or if we are unloading them right away.
