I enjoyed both parts of the comfort print discussion. I'll have to look into a NET version. Thanks for the nerdy content, Tim!

Love the nerdiness. We are all Bible nerds. In my opinion on the comfort prints... 1. NASB 2. NKJV 3. KJV 4. NET 5. NRSV. I have not seen the new NIV comfort print.

I do like the comfort print but the best font I found in the Nelson KJV study bible- I don’t think it’s line matched but the size and clarity is quite good.

Very enjoyable. I am one who is appreciative of the Comfort Print design. I’ve got it in the NASB, the NIV, the NKJV, the NET and the NRSV. They have made Bible reading much easier for me and I have good eyesight, so I’m surprised that some do not like it, especially for those who may not have such good eyesight. Like Tim (W) I like the more classic design. My fav would be the NASB but I’m pleased to see the NET coming up in a range of different Bibles (the Abide Bible, the Love God Greatly Bible, the Full Notes, etc), as it is a great translation, comfort print or not. Thanks and blessings to both “Tims” for doing this.

    That was fun!
Asvyounkmow, I need a larger font..However, I have found that the style of the font makes a real difference... For instance I have a really large font NKJV that I bought back in the i0’s that is actually harder to read than many smaller...but Comfort Print. It;s all very interesting.
BTW.. I am 77, and grew up reading the KJV, and later, the RSV...even in grad school... I grew up in the Methodist Church... Have been Catholic since the latec80’s... and have just returned to a small Lutheran Church. The NKJV is my fav.. nut I am getting used to the ESV, and have just bought my first NASB...1995 edition..and I love it.
Thanks, Tim, for the “needy’ work you do. I love your channel, and try not to miss an episode.

Great video, guys! My favorite is the NKJV, but if I’m being honest, there may be a little bit of bias there. I just so happened to have a NET full notes arrive last Friday. I had not even thought about the font, and haven’t even thought about it being comfort print. After watching this video, I went back through it, and I agree that the chapter headings look extremely cool. The body of the test doesn’t strike me as much though, and doesn’t seem special to me. Maybe that is because of the super busy weird page layouts in the full notes version. Maybe I would appreciate it more in the regular, non-note, layout.
I’m not as NASB reader, and have never really seen the font before. I agree that it looks great as well. I enjoyed the calibration.

No modern digital font (including ‘Comfort Print’) has ever made my heart skip a beat, due to it’s sheer beauty, in the way many traditional KJV fonts have.

I really like the NKJV layout and the NRSV is unique and seems to fit that translations well. The others are all good too with the exception of the NIV. Something with the blue just seems a bit distracting to my eyes.
For me the Lexicon that Crossway uses is the perfect type face. Maybe that is because I’ve used it the most over the last decade.
Thank you guys for doing these videos. They are very entertaining and informative.

I really get a kick out of the fact that Tim Wildsmith was actually blushing near the end of the video, when the topic of discussion shifted to his wife! 😆 🤣 😂

The NIV CP font has “gaps” within some letters. Look at the A in MARK and you see it doesn’t connect. Also, with the lowercase a the back (spine?) of the letter is thinner than the front. I think this was a key aspect that they adjusted. The gap makes your eyes more fatigued as it’s more “work” to read.
