I love how much in your house you've customized to be so simple white - not just the drill of course but even just looking at your desk there's a lot of thoughtful consistency there!
Well this is funny, well edited and usefull material. I'm pretty sure that youtube will be your career if you keep making videos with this amount of quality.
I'm telling you right now, you're gonnna be a big thing dude! A niche DIY artisan with modern tech interests and videos in the style of Camera Gear and Videographer/Photographer bigs like Potato Jet, Jason Vong, Peter McKinnon, and all the other big youtubers :) Can't wait to see where you go!
This is incredible, the quality of content your making is astonishing. Please keep it up, you're inspiring so many people. After buying a 3d printer a while ago out of pure intrigue, your videos have motivated me to get it back up and running, and I actually found my first customer for my prints!! I'm also in Vancouver, making pieces for sculpture for a local artist. Much love!
You do deserve some more credit. The idea isn't revolutionary, but the execution is pretty good and video edition is super fluid, feels like water flowing. Great vid!
The quality of these videos are so insane. The pacing, the camera-work and the way you tell a story is so cool. Subscribed and looking forward to more of your amazing content!
Serendipity. I came back yesterday to see if you made a new video. Love them. The transition from 3D model to the 3D print was MAJOR sick. By the way, you should set the acrylic on top of some scrap material before drilling into it to minimize flex. Something like that can hang off the edge of table to fit. My vote goes to the acrylic case because it has a better process for mass production.
I'm so glad you noticed that specific transition because that took forever to line up the two shots and I was worried I was wasting my time since it's only for like a 1 second moment haha thank you for the kind words, you have some great videos! super helpful stuff. cheers man!
Man, your channel is amazing. I found you while looking for mods for my 3d printer, and stayed because I loved your content and how amazingly put together it is. Also, a cool idea for a future project may be a mini vacuum forming machine. They are super cool and can replicate any object in thin plastic almost instantly
I loved the acrylic handmade version. I did this and ended up using a tool to bend the acrylic which worked out great. I wired up a different battery option but it works great. Thanks for the videos. Would love to see more 3D Printer Projects, like something just off the wall and unheard of.
My mind is blown with your level of geniouse! I don't know you but I'm genuinely proud of you I know you're meant to do great things in your life time!
The handmade one! I met you by newers vids and the refining is diferent: I mean the quality only improved from a already really good place, but now you seem like almost a wizard, with all the organizing and white tools... so is very nice to see this "improving" you by older vids. Really a fan getting more passioned about your channel!
Your work reminds me of some of the things I admire about Tom Sachs’ work. My favorite part of this video was the cat picture annotation at the end. That could’ve been trash, but you’ve imbued it with meaning from a personal experience. That’s art, my man. My favorite kind.
I kid ya not, you're my idol man!!! I enjoy watchin all your videos. Like, you can make anything out of something thrown at ya. Love to see more from ya, SYJ!
You earned yourself a subscriber. I'm not even into DiY or 3D priting but I find these videos still interesting. Insane quality on vids. Hope you will get more subscribers.
next year this dudes gonna have like 200k plus subs, gotta give it to the hand made one, i subbed for the 3d printer video but the hand made one makes me think about the old n64 controllers with the see through purple plastic and i love it. 3d printer one also looks dope. you could probably make that into a business tbh
The hand-made one like you said offers some uniqueness to it which I like, always been a fan of clear electronics it just looks cool. But the 3d printed one looks a little more fit and finished ofc.
Man you need to become famous on TH-cam. I'll start recommend you to everyone. Amazing video quality, great personality, wonderful storytelling. Man keep going! You're unbelievably smart 🤯 edit: I couldn't watch it till the end before writing the previous text, I prefer the 3d printed. More stable, clean and professional. Nice tip heating the front plastic of a paint, never thought about that! Again, great, great, absolutely great job. Hope to see more of your videos.
Dude! Your channel and content are such high quality. Only watched two videos so far, but it's giving me inspiration for my own projects. Keep it up!!!
Wow your editing skills are awesome i stumbled upon your vid where you customized your 3d printer then watched all your vids i wish you'd upload more vids like this in the future do remember us when you hit 1 millions subs cheers!!😁
The 3D printed one was dope, but that hand-made one looks a little more attractive as see-through and it is something viewers like myself can strive toward. Thans for the video.
Dude! Great video. I actually almost bought a $145 Esee field monitor but at the last minute went camera HDMI out to the HDMI in of my 24" Dell monitor right on my desk and am totally happy with focus check with manual lenses. My vision isn't that great and even with a 5" field monitor on my camera, 52" away, it would be hard to see and adjust for focus checks. The only drawback is while in HDMI mode, I can no longer use this monitor as an LED light and that function will be missed as it's my key light and I use MS Paint full screen with a white pallet for it. Thanks dude, from a fellow Seattle-ite.
i recently just learned that there is special bits for drilling acrylic from adam savages youtube channel. the tips are alot more pointy, bits like ur using in the video as soon as it breaks through the other side the leading edge trys to pull the bit through without cutting so it causes it to shatter or break the acrylic.
suggestion on mounting that screen. Get a 1/4 20 threaded rod and run it up through the housing you made. That is the standard for camera mounts. Then use a barrel nut in 1/4 20 to mount to your tripod and then mount the camera on top of the housing where your rod comes out. Rod straight through so you have strength and don't damage camera.
You sold me on the Applesque 3-D printed version! Oh yeah when drilling holes it’s always prudent to drill a pilot hole with a bit much smaller than the one you’re going to finish up with.
I used an old smartphone (Samsung S3), USB-OTG cable and a cheap usb hdmi "grabber" from china which states it does 1080p but its more like 480p. Since my gimbal came with a smartphone clamp this mod was only ~15€. I used an app called "usb camera". Crazy that you theoretically can record your ps5 with a 10 year old phone.
i first watched your video on how to upgrade the Ender 3 pro and did almost the same upgrades. But on the start screen I came across a video of you and had to watch it through your great edit skils and nice explanations !!! Keep it up and you will reach 100k first then 500k and then 1 million, good luck and I'll keep watching your videos !!!!!
hey, just so you know, there is accesories made for cameras like your Fuji that only have a tilt screen and not a fully articiulated one. If all you want is check composition and focus, well buy a mirror that you plug into the hotshoe. You can even do it yourself for even less money ! (Though it cost like 10 bucks off amazon so definelty check if that's worth it lol)
5:32 lol, it happened with me sometime exactly like that, the second time I thought the same thought - "this time I'm not going to be electrocuted" - it was one second before it hit me again :D
YO this guys videos are on anther level ! Scott! good stuff man, so glad to see a fellow Canadian with a growing channel - and as much as I am an avid 3D printer/builder, the handmade one from acrylic looked freaking dope!
Came for the tutorial, subbed for the storytelling skills! 🤩 Also, can I plug in any power bank directly or I'd need specific converter? Is it possible to use old phone's lcd display?
thanks! and yes you can use any power bank as long as you use it with a usb to micro usb cable. You technically CAN also use an old phone's display but it's a LOT harder and costly. you would need to find a compatible controller board for that display and those can be pretty pricey and bulky sometimes. Also not the easiest thing to find too. good luck!
Just discovered this channel, and this is probably the fifth video I've watched in a row! I really love your channel, and your content is so fun and well done. Definitely subscribing :)
The quality of your videos is AMAZING. Keep the good work going! And hey, when you hit 1 mill subs, I'll be able to say I was subbed to your channel at only 10k :D. Greetings from Spain!
Very cool. Loved the hand made one...just cuz there is NO WAY I could do that. But it was fascinating to watch. I needed a monitor for my camera. It's hard to see deep space through my view finder. But I need something weather proof. Thanks for the video!!
My favorite design is the duct taped one

Also I actually need a monitor for my camera ahaha
Hey Integza and Scott I love your content !
thank you so much man! your content is amazing. i really appreciate the shoutout!
Im here because of your story
Well thanks to you both because now I'm here and subscribed.
It was the quote in the cat pic that really got me. 😅
that's true!
I love how much in your house you've customized to be so simple white - not just the drill of course but even just looking at your desk there's a lot of thoughtful consistency there!
Everbody calm down. His channel is growin' & developin'. Go SYJ !
Well this is funny, well edited and usefull material. I'm pretty sure that youtube will be your career if you keep making videos with this amount of quality.
Thank you so much. I would love that. Hopefully someday! haha cheers!

Christian Umipig thank you so much! this is like the nicest comment i’ve ever gotten haha cheers!
THAT TRANSITION AT 6:52
That was awesome! I went and rewatched it after you pointed it out :D
Yeah I like how it goes in and out and in

That's awesome, john! congrats on your first client, that sounds like a fun gig, and glad you're getting back into 3D printing. 👍
Came here for the 24 things 3D printer, good content here as well.

That 3D Model to 3D Print transition was great! Nicely done!
4:00 that's amazing how you did this acrylic bending! I dreamed about making an enclosure from such plastic, but you give me the motivation!

Scott Yu-Jan You rock dude! It really is impressive editing, and thanks! Cheers!
@@ScottYuJan Don't you worry, your viewers see everything. Awesome video!
This man deserves so many more subscribers. His videos and content are all so high quality im surprised that he's only at 50k subs.

I am honestly a sucker for transparent tech, i feel like we need more of it!

That CAD to 3D printer transition was slick, hats off!
I kid ya not, you're my idol man!!! I enjoy watchin all your videos. Like, you can make anything out of something thrown at ya. Love to see more from ya, SYJ!
Got my ender3 yesterday, watched your video about 15 times already. Please do a part 2, I learn more from you then I do in school #mood

The fact you have white batteries is amazing to me, you’re the best

2:13 you can see the artworks from the recent face id video at the back! so the video was filmed in 2020... 2 years ago woah
always cool to see what can be done with 3d printers but really cool to see a seperate way to go about the same project

Oh man! 1:18 that Transition was 🤌!!

Love the handmade one !!!!
Definitely you are a genius. I had no choice but to subscribe after watching just the first 50 seconds. Looking forward to watch more videos from you!
I love both designs! I think the methods for the hand made one really makes this a lot more achievable for those without a 3d printer too!
i recently just learned that there is special bits for drilling acrylic from adam savages youtube channel. the tips are alot more pointy, bits like ur using in the video as soon as it breaks through the other side the leading edge trys to pull the bit through without cutting so it causes it to shatter or break the acrylic.

White Label Drill Problems go for the Red Label next time. Awesome Video!
Wtf is this drill? Did he 3d print that shit?
@@raidzeromatt its called "DEB-randed" , its a niche brand ... :D p.s. i am just kidding .. he sprayed it white ;) very "Diresta" of him .. ;)
Dude, your videos are amazing, the cuts, the composition, the transitions! Keep the good Job! Incredible!
Clear case electronics look cool every time

stumbled across your channel with the mac mini video and I'm just in absolute awe of your skill. keep it up!
Is also a good ideia to use an npf battery adapter in the back and convert the voltages with the buck converter
The end of the video with the cat is awesome ! I really like the delivered message. Keep the same spirit 😉
I’ve been watching some of your videos. I like your editing and your ideas. Can see that you put a lot of time into these
You're very talented , an expert in many fields. It's a pleasure for us.

This is exactly what I was looking for and its crazy how amazing your content is!
That was a super slick transition from 3d model to print bed damn dude!
I like both designs but the clear acrylic one its defiantly better
Love the videos
This is so well done! Filmmaking and great actual advise 😅👌
Your video transitions are dope! esp from the small monitor to main playout! Keep it up.
Just subbed.

hi agaaainnn, 10k subs with one video, you are just amazing
You're too talented bro. I''m glad I stumbled across this channel.
"Buy To Build, Not To Consume"
Love this quote.
A 3s lithium ion removable pack would be a great idea. Like a modular battery that charges with usb type. Using one of those trigger boards
Love the drill all white, i peel my labels off everything and paint also. I like your style
I really love the way you edit the videos
Another very nice video from SYJ, keep making the amazing content!
I think I found my new favorite TH-cam channel!
I like the design where its taped to the camera
