sorry about the sound issue in some of the scenes 😔 for the full list of tools and links: syj-links.webflow.io/tools-i-use what are your favorite tools this year? let me know and maybe they'll make it into next year's video!
it's legitimately insane to me the level of quality these videos have, I don't think I've seen comparable anywhere else. Really putting these other youtubers to shame!
For the sunrise shots I would recommend you to make a big cardboard to simulate the window and put the spotlight on the big sliding tripod, so everything will look more natural. The way you are currently using is looking like the sun and the window are moving at the same time. :) P.S. If you have a balcony, you can just put the spotlight there on the sliding tripod.
dam SYJ is reminiscent of the old era of tech youtubers but at the same still relatable to me. unlike all the old youtubers already having two supercars in their garage
Man, how did you start out this good? What did you do before? Other TH-camrs start out with mediocre videos, but you've made bangers from the get-go. It's almost... eerie.
I love that your channel has become a full family initiative. Your shot composition just wouldn't be possible without them and as always you all deserve a round of applause!
What a fantastic, wonderful and fun video. I love seeing all your clever little jump cuts and time lapse jams thrown in. It’s also just such a delight to watch someone go through the process of being not only a physical creator but also a TH-camr and seeing all of the lifestyle choices made along the way. Here’s to even more fun making things and videos in 2024!
Something very satisfying seeing a small channel grow when the production work and skill behind it is well deserved of the new subs. Looking forward to what Scott has in future for this channel.
Oh man.. I'm speechless. What a video! It's perfect. But not perfect necessary in the sense that everything is flawless but perfect in the sense that the production is super well made but there are (I assume) compromises on certain shots/scenes to not spend too much time on them but still make them great. So to me, this is better then perfect because believe me, as someone who has strived for "perfection" in a lot of things in life I can confidently say that that is the wrong approach because I never produce any work since I'm never content with the execution. So it's like balm on my soul watching your videos since it's so clear to me that you (and you team/family) has great skills and attention to detail but you don't let that take over to the point you don't compromise. All the hats off to you, I'm amazed and love watching your videos and it gives so much inspiration, so thank you! Happy holidays and see you here next year ✨❤
Thank you so much for featuring our HOTO Compressed Air Capsule at the 10:52 mark in your video! We truly appreciate your support and are excited to see it showcased to your audience. If you ever need anything from us or would like to collaborate further, feel free to reach out!
This is the 3rd video in a row I watch from you, and I have just found you. Your cinematography is amazing and so enjoyable. Instantly subscribed and will go through the backlog, for sure. Keep up the amazing work, man. So inspiring.
Those mini-rigs/jibs/sliders are awesome. And the mic stand "tripods" are a good idea too. You're right that they're not stable and would never be usable on a crew shoot, but would work great on a DIY/one-man shoot.
Bro!!!! Loving your style, flow, the way you think (creative process) and break things down. Just super inspired and excited to follow for more. Many thanks and keep up the mind blowing work/ content!
For simulating the sunrise time lapse with an artificial light source, you need to linearize the rays of light from the point light source to simulate the even columns of light we get from the sun as a result of the great distance between it and our planet. You may notice that the light seems to fall off in intensity with an artificial light source. I’ve seen this solved using large parabolic reflectors by the DIY Perks TH-cam channel if you want to see what I mean. In order to achieve as realistic a sunrise effect as possible. Love your content!
I love the stupidly simple things that make work flow a lot easier. I ended up getting the id cards and dry erase markers for small lists from last year. I may try the sanding trick
May the upcoming year see continued success - I always loved wtaching your videos and your openness to share is amazing. Have a great start to 2024 when we see you next
I have never left a video of yours without being amazed at the editing. Have you ever considered a second channel for maybe teaching that stuff? I would totally watch that!

what are your favorite tools this year? let me know and maybe they'll make it into next year's video!
Hey @scottyujan the "soldering gun" listed on your website erroneously has the helping hands picture. Just a heads up! Love your videos!
I dunno if you could classify it as a tool but I guess you could and for me that’s the ender 3 Neo I have been modding it and having fun with it!
Not a tool but where can I find your desk? Looks very nice.
This video should be called 33 tools that made cut in 2024, since 2023 is already over and you'll be using these in next. :D
Could you add the chair you’re using? Can’t find it on the page. Thanks!
'I'm too lazy to use a XLR cable' - proceeds to make a masterpiece. Another BANGER video mate, can't wait to see what you create in 2024!
Bro the transition from one clip to another is so clean and flawless.
my man dropping magic tricks in his edits 🔥
Yoooooooooo its the man huge fan BTW
Bro I'm only 1:30 in and I'm having a sensory overload of all the smooth transitions... your videos are art!
His videos are so well-crafted that it's like attending a curated experience.
man makes four youtube videos in a year and says "another year of making youtube videos" what an absolute minimalist chad.
🗿
wake up babe, scott yu-jan just uploaded
Please take your schizophrenia pills
How it be frl
For a channel based on creativity, that is one uncreative comment
@@estebanod yep
I am not babe.

This but also you want the light to rotate on its axis, not slide.
Lmao, I previously wrote "potlight" by mistake, oops
Scott could be talking about paint drying, I'd still watch the entire thing without skipping. This guy is a gem!
11:50 As someone who's annoyed with sanding smaller models, this is absolutely genius
Production quality is insane. I always look forward to your videos!
Brother, your aesthetic in tools, video production and overall style are brilliant, such stellar and educational content! 🙏

Thank you so much for sharing all your skills and know-how with everyone. I am happy to be able to see your videos. Always be happy and healthy
Everything is so thoughtful and well made. The toothbrush sander is such a creative way to re-purpose.
That transition at 1:28 thoo 🤯
The one at 0:10 was even better
@@PapaMike23 11:21 !
You are such a big inspiration. Keep it up, Scott!
For #30, a lot of makers recommend the 3m green acrylic putty, but the white absolutely makes sense for your applications. 👍
this literally just cured my depression and I'm gonna start creating again!
your videos are so well put together and inspirational
Man, how did you start out this good? What did you do before? Other TH-camrs start out with mediocre videos, but you've made bangers from the get-go. It's almost... eerie.

Absolutely incredible, a masterclass in Maker content.
Great video Scott. You are amazing dude.
He is a wizard 😅
Love your video. I even watch the parts that don't bother me (like filming) because your cutting/editting skills are amazing.
Something very satisfying seeing a small channel grow when the production work and skill behind it is well deserved of the new subs. Looking forward to what Scott has in future for this channel.

10:20 to 10:34 is so cleverly shot (as is the rest of this video) but something about that idea is so perfect to me
Beyond showcasing with amazing quality in audio, visuals, and editing...even some creative solutions! Amazing work
WOW man! This video was a true craftsmanship
This is the 3rd video in a row I watch from you, and I have just found you.

Keep up the amazing work, man. So inspiring.
Your videos are a prime example of quality over quantity!
How did you made the morphing Camera effect at the intro? Which tool ist needed for that? It looks amazing
Those mini-rigs/jibs/sliders are awesome. And the mic stand "tripods" are a good idea too. You're right that they're not stable and would never be usable on a crew shoot, but would work great on a DIY/one-man shoot.
Your shots and editing are mind blowing. Amazing.
Guess what? You are one of my role models over the years of 3D printing and TH-cam and desk setup and vlog and so many more =)))
youre a literal artist with those videos, watching you is the best thing to do on yt❤
