I am originally from Russia. Beet salad is a very common dish. People use different recipes. When I make it, I do: boil beats until they are eatable. Shred them. Add crushed walnuts, dried plums (cut in small pieces), and olive oil. Mix all. Ready to eat. Can also add garlic 🧄 if you like.

That sounds absolutely delicious. I'm Canadian, and we have lots of Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian cultural influences in our country. Canadian supermarkets usually sell beets with the green tops still attached. I often use the tops in salads. I also love pickled beets, steamed beets, and borscht with sour cream and dill. But I haven't seen the walnut/plum/beet combo. I've had plenty of dishes with beets, but that unusual combination sounds fabulous.

I do a mocha almost every morning:
1 cup fair trade regeneratly grown single origin coffee
1 cup a2 grassfed whole milk
Heaping tablespoon organic cacao [not cocoa] powder
Packet of grass fed beef collagen powder
    Teaspoon each:
    Reshi mushroom powder
    Turkey tail mushroom powder
    Organic fiber power
    Ground fresh ginger
    and
    Manuka honey
Side of 1 hard boiled egg
Along with a side of plain goat kefir with fresh berries and sprouted walnuts
Keeps me going all day; and I've increased my own glp1 and reduced my a1c
And after 1 year I've lost over 50 lbs, no more prediabetic & no big pharma needed!
Even better, the volume of food I eat at dinner has been cut in half....just not hungry all the time; and don't snack that much any more either.
Advice from Dr Li is RIGHT ON!

    Lovely video, thanks very much.
Can you please put links to the scientific studies you're using? Also, when using oil in the wok, shouldn’t one avoid sunflower and palm, and only use olive oil? Finally, better to eat the fruit rather than put it in a juicer which mashes up the fibre so it no longer assists as a barrier to the sugars...isn't that so?
Many thanks again from a long-term fan!

I found that cacao takes away too much of any other flavors. But when you take cacao in chunks - you can buy it like that - you can put it in like a Greek Yoghurt (or any other cold meal). If you don’t crush it, you will barely taste it, but it's got a nice crunch.

It is actually very easy to make aged garlic. It is just time consuming. Use your crock on warm. Place clean dry while bulbs of garlic in the bottom. Don't let them touch. Cover and cook for about three weeks. You may want to do this in your garage or on your porch because it will be pungent for the first week. Considering the price charged and the fact that you should consume this daily, it's smart to make it yourself. When it's soft like the inside of a fog, it's done. Store in a mason jar, covered. Use daily. Cook with it. Put it on a cheese platter. Go wild!! It's delicious
