I met Cody in March with my best friend and he noticed her scars and told her not to do that shit and he made her promise. Before that, I hugged him and took a picture with him and my best friends mom couldn't get the camera to work so I basically stood there hugging him for 5 minutes (it was great tbh.) He just cares so much and its amazing. I've seen SIO twice, and both times he couldn't have looked more happy. His face when he performs is the best thing. This band gives me hope.
So I worked stage front/pit at Warped Tour a few days ago. Catching crowd surfers and holding Cody up as he stood on the barricade. Casual stuff, ya know. When these guys came on stage behind me, I was immediately really into it. Now here I am a few days later, completely hooked.
How would you work that position? You look very small and the idea of those positions is for the people catching crowd surfers to be pretty large in order to maintain the crowd. I have never seen anyone working that job that wasn't a huge 6 foot plus man?
cortizone121 Lol our venue gets that question a lot actually because we do put a lot of girls in the pit at Warped. Definitely more than most venues do, that's for sure. But overall we just have a lot more people down there. And, believe me, I spent the day helping catch crowd surfers so I know what the position entails. Adrenaline definitely helps. But I had a lot of fun too. Lol.

This album was the last quintessential "scene" album for me, late 2014, it was, at the time, what I was imagining my teen years to be like, and here I sit, merely months from my 20th, and I have had, on a scale from this video, to absolute jack shit, landed at, "Boring, peaked in online high school"😂😭 Its insane to look back on this album, and realize just how... normal my teen years were, when most people at least have a couple stories like this. I wasnt able to be like this, I had good friends, but not those kind of friends, and then I realize what an asshole I have to be to complain, but we all hope for at least a taste of the sweeter life, and when you dont even get a trickle when others get to drink deep, to live that life on fire, it hurts a little. This is on the 2015 Warped Tour CD and my lazy ass just got around to listening to it, but I had to look up this band once I heard this on the CD and tbh I can already tell I'm gonna have an obsession...

This album was the last quintessential "scene" album for me, late 2014, it was, at the time, what I was imagining my teen years to be like, and here I sit, merely months from my 20th, and I have had, on a scale from this video, to absolute jack shit, landed at, "Boring, peaked in online high school"😂😭
Its insane to look back on this album, and realize just how... normal my teen years were, when most people at least have a couple stories like this. I wasnt able to be like this, I had good friends, but not those kind of friends, and then I realize what an asshole I have to be to complain, but we all hope for at least a taste of the sweeter life, and when you dont even get a trickle when others get to drink deep, to live that life on fire, it hurts a little.

Ok so I have been listening to Set it off for like a year now and i just saw them at Warped this past weekend twice and let me just say I NOW HAVE A NEW FAVORITE BAND! I also had the pleasure of meeting Cody and even though he was in a rush he still took a photo with me and it legit made my day. I hope one day I can photograph them at one of there shows. =]
