Like 10 mins ago II was in a Solo RBG. Got killed by a fury warrior using half CDs through Blur. So funny that there is people actually saying Blur is OP...
So it is not just me who feels like they(I main havoc DH) are doing jack shit beyond being a glorified flag carry for RBGs. Maybe after the eybeam stuff it will be a bit better.... But honestly feel like they want Warr/SPreist to be META this season
Comparing classes. I Agree with this :) cause as a healer ... its soo easy as Evoker and you must pump those numbers as a disco in PVE . In pvp they re both strong but Evoker got at least mobility and some more stuff
DH is now in a state of support rather than true dps from what they are known for. No one is picking the class as a face roll 3 button masher anymore. It takes some actual skill to win matches such as solo shuffle or 3v3. I’ve mained DH since it came out and hit gladiator many times on it including playing many matches this current season. What I’ve come to realize is our consistent damage is relatively low compared to other classes of course but our burst potential is huge. It requires you to actually setup kills rather than force the healer to succumb to your button mashing. The amount of CC a DH has is also pretty high. I’ve won many matches this season from taking a step back from pumping damage to either CC proactively or aggressively to guarantee a kill for the win. Compared to what the class used to be and is known for yes it’s not the same. You won’t see many DH’s until the consistent damage is increased due to the higher skill ceiling required to play it now. Not saying it needs a huge buff but I would like to feel like I can make an impact from using my damaging abilities as well :)
I totally agree with you. Its been always like that, DH rating increases with utility/CC not damage. 1.4k rating and 2.4k rating DH deal similar damage. I think it was skillcapped that released a nice graph showing these. I also do feel like we are in a problematic spot like this though. I feel like I am back in S2 DF where I am a rogue with no stealth, and nothing to cover up for not having stealth, while also having less damage and CC.
You realize DH is significantly better than fury in blitz right? In fact it is still one of the best classes in the game for blitz. Check out Ace if you want a comprehensive guide on why DH is so good. Now, if you are referring to shuffle or arena then sure DH isn't in a great place.
Maybe in a month or 2 months, we can talk about Solo RBGs in a legitimate way, but while I am getting MW monks who don't know what to do with the Flag on WSG at 2.3k MMR, I really can't take the "Stats" seriously. (BTW I had 2 MW monks that match, neither knew their ass from their mouth.)
@@OGMikadika Oh don't get me wrong I'm not disputing a single point you just made and I entirely agree with the overall essence of your response. That being said I am merely talking about the overall power of a DH in blitz being S tier though still behind things like sub rogue (obviously) or any rogue, and arguably feral etc. Watching Ace in the 2700ish EU bracket you can see that most of his carry potential comes from the combination of mobility + CC that affords him tons of caps, decent repick on flags (though MW on FC maps is just dumb right now) and actually pretty solid damage in team fights. Hell MVQ is often doing more damage than fury in high rated shuffle currently. That being said, I won't disagree that fury is infinitely more simple/easy to play with a much easier time doing insane dam.

I wouldn't agree with S tier for DH and not just Rogue that is better, but let me give you an example why this mode is a joke. One DH player gets 5 wsg/FC maps and 5 mixed. Other DH player gets 5 AB/Domination maps and 5 Deephaul/Silvershard Mines. To not beat around the bush, obviously the "other DH" has far less impact on their games. Another example, game I played, one team has 3-4 very good FC classes. Other team has 3 UH DKs and 2 Rogues. Again to not beat around the bush, mid isn't even passable in this scenario. 6 Grips and all the CC you can fathom. These are just a few examples of why I can't tale this mode, as it is now, seriously. Even though,, amazing players can do amazing things, and should be praised for that. Ill be live in around 15 mins if you want to have more of a chat.

So you bring up an interesting point that certainly favors the idea of using time as a more valuable metric to determine class power relative to blitz tier lists. That being said some of the top demon hunters have multiple top 5 or 10 alt DHs which I'd wager adds to the credibility of the argument somebody like Ace makes regarding DH being S tier. That being said, I know players like supa put it at possibly A + if I remember correctly (could have been S but I forget) which would lean more toward the accuracy of your assessment. All this aside, I entirely agree with you about blitz suffering from a multitude of issues that make it fairly meme. Team comps alone are in a terrible state with some absolutely screwy comp RNG that is laughable. Watching Trili play against double MW 4 times, yes FOUR times in a row (all different MWs btw) on 3 FC maps when he had healers like disc/resto sham. I think most people would agree that blitz is showing its experimental status in ways that can be unfun and at times infuriating. Either way, I'd be very curious to pick your brain after you checked out Ace on his DHs - he plays like 15 hours a day and is always streaming.

There is also basically an Elo Hell as well at around 1500-1600 range, that a lot get stuck at while also people getting through it who shouldn't and will go down in time. For my variables DH is not S, but its not like saying its A is saying its bad. One of my #1 variables is frequent 5 sec CC for capturing points/stalling, but it might be that I am too stuck on that. I feel with Trill, that was my normal experience on the Fury. The mode is a joke, but I also think it is a great success in many ways. I will make a video on this topic this week probably. I am sorry to inform you that there is some truth to that. Till the nerfs early in S4, DH was the best class. Probably the strongest it was since I have been playing DH.
