    My state the plumbing would have failed due to the poly water main coming into house and also the laundry p trap with the bottom cleanout

      +MrDarren5012 different states different rules I guess. He did say the poly couldn’t come into the house but trusted me to fix it. Which I did. You will see it in future videos.

    wow i cant believe you tested the ABS system with air!!! YOU are nuts!! that stuff shatters under air pressure and becomes like razor sharp pieces when it explodes.. I am a plumber the work you did looks good if not better than most plumbers i see install waste lines but testing with air is a no no.. IT even says on the pipe itself its not rated for air.. You need to fill the system with water with a 10 foot stand pipe filled to the top for a head test. But like i said you did a good job on the install nice.

    Congrads on your Inspection! Be sure to do everything he suggested. He let you slide "assumimg" that you would correct any issues. He is a good man.

    HOWdy JOHNSON's
    it appears that you may have replace a LOT of SHARP 90 Degree ELBOWS
    with more gradual "SWEEPS" in your 4" & 3" Waste PIPES than the last time I viewed your VIDEOS ?

    Hi again guys please accept my apologies i thought you had piped your drainage incorrectly it seems what you call a clean out is what we call a rodding point in the uk and you have an 18" rise to the clean out but at the other side of the subfloor you have the soil pipe exiting at low level heading for the septic tank. A uk / us misunderstanding and as a diy'er i am impressed with your skills well done mate :)

    Before you backfill around the outside of the foundation consider a perimeter footing drain system and a perimeter downspout collection drain system.

    Inspectors here Don't like OWNER/BUILDERS but I think your work is solid. You went at it right, I always disarm the EGO by putting the Inspector in a Teaching Position. Most Inspectors if they have an audience need to show they are in Control. This Guy was Cool. Because it is different everywhere, I learned from this video Martin. Just another reason why I want to move there. Cool Inspector(state right). Thanks and Congrats. Well done.

      Off grid means not connected to public utilities not no inspections. Sad I know. But that is they way it is. Check with the building department where you live or want to live.

    My thought on PEX in wall or in crawlspace. Crawlspace will free and you'll have to Elect.Tape it. Inside walls won't freeze. I'm really excited that your trusses are finally arriving next week! I hope you've lined up friends to help out with them! Congrats on the approval!

  • @captnhowdy01able

    Surprised you passed with a water line and septic line intersecting . Normally they have to enter the house on opposite ends or 25 ft separate at parallel going into house.

    Glad to see that you passed inspection . Inspection day can be nerve racking . Most inspections the inspector will always find a small fault but will pass you anyways . These are good guys . Smart in picking his brain and asking questions . Where are you going to put your hot water tank . Is it going to be propane ?

  • @68Jaguar420G
    @68Jaguar420G 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good news about passing your inspection with minimal recommendations and perhaps even better news that your trusses are coming next week. Pex is nice to work with so you should breeze through that. Only problem with it in the crawlspace is potential for lines freezing. You'll need to account for that, either with insulating wraps or keeping the crawlspace above freezing.
    As ever looking forward to your next video. Thanks for bring us along on your journey.
