I started this video when looking for motherhood inspiration, and I finished this video during a rare day when my patience had run dry and my prayers for His mercy and aid of Holy Spirit didn’t “feel” like they were working. I am a highly intellectual woman, and study philosophy. I also have been an acting coach, teacher, and director all my life, and I highly enjoy having a variety of jobs and working with different people. My spiritual gift is evangelism to the lost. While I see homemaking is important, I’m really struggling to find depth in it, especially the idea of doing it full time, and especially because I won’t be having any children ( I’m 45). My husband now wants me to be a homemaker. You talk about renouncing music and the arts and beauty/creation. I feel like this is completely opposite of who God made me to be and this video is perplexing…

I’m really good at finding good angles for filming that leave my kids out 😂 usually the 1 & 2 year olds are close by or even under foot. You might have even seen their shadow when I was doing the Bible journaling. I had 3 kids surrounding me during that clip 😅 Sometimes they might be outside, playing legos, or off doing what kids do! They are used to seeing mama do this after making TH-cam videos for the past 9 years. And also, it takes a lot less time than you think to film, for example this one took 20 minutes! Most of my children can play independently for more than 20 minutes. My husband sometimes takes them out when I do voiceovers and I edit after they go to sleep! It takes the longest to edit but I’ve gotten pretty fast over the years. Bindi Marc & Seaside Lane are channels I love. Inspired By Nikki, Daily Connoisseur, and The Golden Hour are fantastic as well!

Unfortunately I do have experience with this. I would pray about it for sure. I think your instincts are probably right in not having anything to do with them. Dr. Taylor Marshall and Father Rippenger have a video on here about how Christian’s should handle narcissists and it was very helpful for me. It would probably come up with a TH-cam search

Does that happen to you as well ? Is that not loving material things and being worldly? I am struggling with this question!! What are your thoughts on this 😊
I don’t love dresses more than I love God, nor do I put shopping above Him! Nor do I take my wardrobe for granted and instead give him thanks in it all
You are so lovely and I know your heart is SO towards the Lord and you desire to do His will. I may not have heard as you intend but I have questions. Why do you renounce what HE has given you to steward? Why renounce what HE put inside of you like your creativity and love for beauty in your home ( as long as it does not become an idol). Why do you think we are here right now on this planet if it’s unimportant? Wouldn’t you think that every step in gods plan is an important process? Becoming “detached” feels counter intuitive to me. Shouldn’t we be immersing ourselves in the experience of being alive and feeling love and gratitude for everything around us in this period? -genuinely curious ❤
We're here to know, love and serve God. But we're MADE to be happy with Him in heaven. Yes we absolutely need to be grateful for everything and find the beauty and goodness in God's world. Detachment is recognizing that we're in the world, not of it and that trying to find happiness here through worldly pleasures is useless in the end because we only find true happiness and wholeness in Jesus Christ
World, meaning that which is against God. Sim, lust, envy etc. The contradictory nature of Him telling us to hate the world and yet he loved it so much that He sent His only Son….it’s a very interesting topic to study and I encourage you to do so if it’s hard to grapple with this idea. Anger and wrath are sometimes a function of Gods love

Good on you for asking questions! The Bible takes time to get through. I’ve been a Christian for 10 years and I still haven’t managed to read the Bible from beginning to end just once. I need someone to talk through it with because I get distracted by my own questions. So it shows your love and your commitment that you are willing to ask about what you don’t understand as it comes. I know we don’t know each other, but as a fellow sister, I am proud of you.

Detachment is recognizing that we're in the world, not of it and that trying to find happiness here through worldly pleasures is useless in the end because we only find true happiness and wholeness in Jesus Christ

World, meaning that which is against God. Sim, lust, envy etc. The contradictory nature of Him telling us to hate the world and yet he loved it so much that He sent His only Son….it’s a very interesting topic to study and I encourage you to do so if it’s hard to grapple with this idea. Anger and wrath are sometimes a function of Gods love

It is a prayer to detach from the world and worldly pleasures. Not that flowers are bad, but that we love God even more than the flowers!

Good on you for asking questions! The Bible takes time to get through. I’ve been a Christian for 10 years and I still haven’t managed to read the Bible from beginning to end just once. I need someone to talk through it with because I get distracted by my own questions. So it shows your love and your commitment that you are willing to ask about what you don’t understand as it comes. I know we don’t know each other, but as a fellow sister, I am proud of you.
