    I am utterly addicted to the Lowden sound. And this model in particular just makes me ache inside it's so gorgeous.

    My jaw dropped during the audio clips. Oh my God. The tone! The sustain, the super rich overtones...Christ almighty that's an amazing guitar. My dream guitar now for sure. I want something I can pass down as an heirloom to future generations. Something like this would do it. Sit around on the homestead and write beautiful songs, playing this thing. What a life that'd be.

    I love how even some of the Lowden guitar sounds. I've been watching this videos for on and off and I never get tired of the way this particular acoustic sounds.

    Just ordered an F50c in sinker redwood/african blackwood, with bevel, and I cannot wait to hammer it.

    I replaced the tops on four of my guitars with old growth sunken redwood including two with torified tops which is brittle. My fav is my Brazilian OM which is close to African Blackwood.
    That is a really sweet guitar.

    This one sounds better with a pick for sure. Maybe a bit too soft on the attack in the lows with just fingers. But a pick really brought out the lushness.

      Some heavy duty finger nails would sort that out.

    I'm amazed how the well the 6 string holds its tuning even with the dropped C. Great playing and video guys.

    • @eddiesguitars
      @eddiesguitars  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yeah, believe it or not these are light gauge strings... even when tuned to a low C it holds up really well. Would be even nicer with mediums for that particular use.
      Cheers!

    If it sounds this good new, think how it will sound when the woods have aged. My Sitka spruce topped guitars took almost a decade to open up.

    Just beautiful...I build with redwood soundboards in about half of my guitars and when it's paired with a hard and dense tonewood on the back and sides, the combo is just spectacular. Redwood has an undeserved reputation for being so soft that the low tones can get quite muddy but if you leave it a few thousandths thicker...say a .125-.130 inch final thickness, it resonates beautifully across the tone range. I have some stock that I ordered from redwoodsalvagesales.com which Petros uses in some of their African Rose guitars and the figure is so beautiful it defies description. It's 130 year old redwood so the tone is marvelous. If you are a serious builder, get some and try pairing it with some Indian rosewood...it sounds amazing.

      toneman335 I agree, the guitar really speaks for itself. A quick intro about the guitar and it’s composition is really all that’s needed...over half of the video talking is too much.
      Awesome guitar.
