The AD-10 is the first 'Expensive' knife I've ever owned from my budget perspective. I've owned a ton of $10 to $15 knives like Tac Cool and other junk brands, I make them work. My daily carry was a Kershaw Volt SS I loved because it's a large 4" blade with very thin construction. The AD-10 is a totally different beast, it's as hefty as the Volt SS is thin and slim yet it has become my daily knife. Thank you for the straight forward video, in all the years I've carried knives I've never disassembled a folder before. This one is special to me so I'll be maintaining this as I intend to keep it for as long as I'm around to carry a pocket knife ;-)
I've had mine for about a month. She is a finger guillotine. I have a couble friends and coworkers who have cut themselves pretty badly when closing her. I now recommend to people new to the AD10 to close her two handed.
I'd rack it up to battling a head-cold. I know my thinking gets pretty messed up when my head is filled with sludge. I'll give the man a break on the AD10 - AD15 confusion.
Is that minuscule amount of thread locker effective? I don’t submerge all the threads with it but at least the bottom 3 rows. If that tiny amount is enough to keep pivots from loosening, I will start using even less
Looks like a modifiable lock spring ! Take a few pounds off without losing to much blade retention ! I take out the teflon waahers usually ! And I uas plumbers teflon tape because I hate locktite !
What are the size of the screws? I want to remove the belt clip altogether but the screws are different lengths to keep it flush. So to remove the clip and keep it flush i need some replacement screws but cant find out what size they are anywhere..
Solid looking knife... Curious if you've had issues with screws being to short on the pocket clip? Also 🤣 Ill just just clean this part right here, and place it in the dirt over there.
We should be able to choose, but nope, nothing but flat out there. Still a great knive. Mine is on it's way. Looking at thinner blade geometry knives for hollow grind.
Cold Steel has been around for over 30 years . I know you edc guys like to laugh , but you don't stay in business that long if your making junk . CS has been making good knives for the Military and First Responders and Woodsmen for a long time.
The liners are un- necessary! Reasonable prices for a good protmduct ! They do ads like 1960 knife ads ! In the 60's there was very very limited access to information !
The through pins that hold the back and the clip in are garbage. Benchmade did a better job with their Adamas by keying the end of the pin and cutting a keyed hole into the inner scale.
I own this knife in S35VN Tanto format and I love it. I enjoyed and thank you for your disassemble videos.
Thank you Nick. I didn't have a clue how to reassemble mine. Your vid saved my bacon.
I dig cold steel for the design genius of Andrew Demko. He's a great guy and the main reason I collect cold steel and Demko knives
how do i reach him direct without social media here ?, thanks > tom !
Sorry to hear that you are sick, Nick.
Thanks for posting the two films on this knife despite of how you are feeling.

Me too!
Me 3!
Easy as pie, more so than I'd expect, and clean as a whistle inside.
Great knife video review voice you have. Your knowledge is also greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your video. Grettings from Atacama, Chile.
Much respect for always being you bro
Hey Nick,
Thanks for doing this when you felt like crud.
I know it's flow but still...
Respect for it.

i am looking for one via trade though, i got some stuff to trade for her, if your interested or know anybody ?, thanks > tom !
@@tomquirin4231 - I just saw them at White Mountain Knives less than 2 weeks ago. I think Neeves Knives and Stassa have discount codes for WMK.
@@Abby_Normal_1969 i can only trade here bro, not buy , i got a ad-15 and another knife for trade here only , thanks > tom !
Got the locktite stick ( pretty good )even though I hate it when manufacturers use it as it sometimes glues the part so that I can't undo a screw !
With Nick's recent experience with Cold Steel's culture, he has realized that the Delica is a tiny knife.🤣
What did Nick call the AD 10?
AD 10: Twice.
AD 15: 3 times.
Nah but, all jokes aside, hope you'll be feeling better soon, Nick.
He's always griping about huge billboarding on the blade, but it clearly needs it to be even bigger so he might actually read it.

Loving all the uploads nick, I can watch you all day.
WOW, finally! I was wondering if you're going to review this knife, because for me it's much more interesting than AD-15 and 4Max.
Thanks for the video, Nick--very informative as always!
thx brother. new here and love your stuff
Nice to see you wearing the samurai.
@Nick Shabazz you should do an SR1 disassembly that would be awesome!
Nicely done!
Cold Steel makes knives that are made to be used. They aren't timid in their advertisements because they sell blades, not trinkets.

You need to oil the lock spring pocket to !
Thanks!
Why do you think they used Teflon and PB washers? I don’t think I have ever seen that done.
Can you list all of the tools you used for this video? I would like to purchase them for my knife. Thank you.

Nice job,get well soon 🤒😀
Flawless Nick!
This video very clear on how to disassemble the knife... did you use red and blue locktite? What brand
Do one on the cold steel SR1

Great great knife ad 15 not so much because of the exposed tang
Well done thank you....carry on.
If you could only pick one, which would it be, AD-10 or AD-15? I'm leaning towards the AD-10.
I'd go with the 15. The locking mechanism is a lot more convenient once you get used to it
AD-15 for me.
AD-15, 2-0.
I got the AD10. Between the two it’s the harder use knife. But depends on the use case.
@@TheJeffFortner Thx.
Nice tools!
Thanks for sharing...
What is this red lubrication you are using?

You may be able to find that answer at nickshabazz.com
Is there a reason the disassembly ones before the review/video of the knife? Keep up the good work nick.
Yep, because often I'll reference the disassembly during the review.
Nick Shabazz ah ok makes sense. Thanks. 🔪🔪🔪💯
Were do you get your tools
I’ve never asked a fish...but your probably correct. Just an educated guess.
Solid looking knife... Curious if you've had issues with screws being to short on the pocket clip?
Also 🤣 Ill just just clean this part right here, and place it in the dirt over there.

This is an older recording, yes? Using the snobbish drivers and all...
Yep
You need a tissue Bro🤣😎
I’m sure you said it elsewhere, but what is the model of that driver at the beginning?
Well Done👍🍭🐓👶
