Just came upon this video, 2 yrs after the fact. So much more than game action to shoot. Capturing the game's "day" as an event, as important as getting that action shot.
Proud of you. Great achievement. Great work. Your an inspiration. I'm going to apply for an internship as soon as I can figure out how to get this lens cap thing off.
Things I do get is Ive been applying for the Green Bay Packers for 7 years and they wouldn't even talk to me or email me...They end up giving someone who just got out of college a shot. I graduated in 2011 and I spend most my time paying for my education living someone else's life. How did you get the people of the organization to give you a chance to do NFL Photos?
I had a portfolio, I shot local high schools and undesirable college sports. I checked teamwork online religiously, applied for the internship and got it. I worked GameDay for 3 seasons and the rest is history
@@TheOfficialRickyBowden Ive been taking photos at Public Training Camp the last 7 years, except for that one with covid and all. But I do have a Portfolio. I spent alot of money on Front Row Endzone seats at Lambeau. Got a few good shots using what I can afford and allowed to use (200 mm lens)
Try contacting then photographers to see if they could get you a media pass or someone you could talk to to get a pass for future games. I did that for the UW-Wisconsin football but I was a little too late to try to get a media pass for the game
@@TheOfficialRickyBowden they dont pay that much do they? I checked out teamwork online for the cardinals intern/9 dollars an hour/ how much is the pay for a regular photographer?
Raw would be nice, but at that time it would've bogged down my system, and plus it challenged me to nail my exposure. Raw is recommended if you can, but jpg large was plenty enough for what I was doing.
Alex Dill The I got the internship on my own, checkout a site called teamworkonline they have a lot of different opportunities in the professional sports industry.
Did you get anything out of this video?

A more appropriate title would be-What’s it like to shoot video without any stabilization on your phone or camera. I’m dizzy.

Is there a reason you're not shooting in RAW? I'm guessing for faster workload, it's just weird seeing you edit jpg files

Did they provide housing ?or are you responsible for your own ?
Thank you for sharing!
Do you know the typical number of hours in a week for NFL photographer.
It varies, but you'll be at every practice and games, press conferences etc. The hours are really brutal.
How were you able to get an internship with the redskins? Was that through the Army?
